@ 'another quiz:
1: one. Sneaky bastard loaded the code I was supposed to steal into a computer and destroyed the disc. Didn't have time to figure out which computer it was in, so I had to leave empty handed.

2: Not particularly, wolves don't tend to have that problem.

3: Animal control =P

4: The blades he makes using shape metal and his collar.

5: Pack alpha? This one is a bit hard for me.

1: Yeah, but not a Run (haven't been in the biz long enough to fail. Yet). Fucked up a good few times in my early post-academy days.

2: During my first "real" Run, the crew got into a barney with some Rent-a-Cops. Pitched in with the gunplay. Didn't like killing people I used to be one of. Getting used to it.

3: Other than criminals I've helped bring down, not really. And they're all rotting in jail. Right?

4: You can keep all your fancy gizmos, the Colt Manhunter is a thing of beauty. Concealable. Reliable. Built in dot sight. God Bless American manufacturing.

5: *Very long pause. Leans in close. Whispers, as if his parents are watching over his shoulder.* A journalist.

@Quizzes

1: Ever been arrested? What for?

Nope.

2: How well did your first run go?

Smooth as a baby's bottom, until an informant snitched me over.

3: When you're caught in a bind, who do you trust to get you out (besides yourself)?

Depends, if it's a Mega Corp, I'll just use my contacts there. If not, no-one.

1.) Have you ever failed a job?

Yes, two times. Don't wanna talk about it.

2.) Have any regrets of certain jobs? (can be anything killed an guard, left in a hurry and missed a treasure, got injured and have a nasty scar as an result etc.)

If only I did not screw up a couple of years ago, I coulda been a top lawyer.

3.) Do you have an rival or nemesis?

Many, though they prefer to remain nameless to my "joy".

4.) Favorite weapon?

Not much of a weapon nut, anything that's functional I guess.

5.) What did you want to become when you were little?

A hard boiled detective lawyer.

Another question for you guys, how many of these quizzes will there be?

3 Do you have an rival or nemesis?
4 Favorite weapon?
5 What did you want to become when you were little?

1. Depends on what you mean by fail, his goal is to find people, not bring them in. He always finds people, but if they then get away from whoever hires him then that is not his problem.

2. On a mission, he got cornered by a couple thugs that he was tracking down, lackeys. He found himself with no choice but to engage them and accidentally killed one. It bothers him.

3. NeoNet. Fuck those guys.

4. Weapons? Thought it was made clear he does not use them.

5. As an AI his path was made for him.

1: Ever been arrested? What for?
A few times, when my gear was used by 'runners who got caught by Lone Star. Either the bail was paid or I served my few months in jail.

2: How well did your first run go?
I'm a mechanic, not a 'runner. Haven't lost my 'runner virginity yet.

3: When you're caught in a bind, who do you trust to get you out (besides yourself)?
Typically, Andrew, the 'runners we're currently working with, or once in a rare while, retired-'runner-still-badass Dad, Jack.

1 Have you ever failed a job?
Since I'm not a 'runner, I haven't failed the jobs you're likely referring to. Occassionally an exceptionallly tricky custom order gets botched, but I'm usually able to fix it-if the owner brings it back alive.

2 Have any regrets of certain jobs? (can be anything killed an guard, left in a hurry and missed a treasure, got injured and have a nasty scar as an result etc.)
Not really. I like to say that I only make the weapons. I'm not the one who pulls the trigger. I don't ask what the job is, and they don't tell.

3 Do you have an rival or nemesis?
While his identity is currently unknown, Andrew's killer.
4 Favorite weapon?
I like the Manex XR77 EPS. SMG power, pistol size. A little customization of my own to add a silencer and extended mag, and you have a powerful little toy.

5 What did you want to become when you were little?
A Shadowrunner like Dad. He eventually talked me out of it, wanting to keep me safe. I fought the itch to join up with a team that was short a person a lot.

Since in theory we're starting tomorrow can someone actually explain how forum Rp's work? Last one I was on had you write full paragraphs and you were only allowed to write for your character, kinda made conversations hard and the pace iffy.

@Gab: You can only write for your character (unless given special permission by the other character's player)

I personally prefer longer posts, but I do not require it - just try and flesh out the world, describe your actions, make conversation, etc.

@Mal: As for timing, again, I'm not particular - try and give people a chance to act so everyone is involved, but otherwise let it go where it goes.

My experience with shadowrun is that a fair portion of the game is spent planning your actions - jumping right into the action tends to lead to lots of bullets everywhere and the runners are always outnumbered (though given the size of this group, that may not be true in this case)

@hiei: Aren't the PC's in ANY RPG outnumbered at least 3 to one? Hell... I've had one campaign where our island base was attacked by 300 vessels of the Royal Navy. (That may have been my fault, as I did kill their Admiral with a cannon). There were 6 of us on that island... Thank god for wizards or we'da been FUCKED there.

@Hiei: You're back! And there was much mourning...and llamas, can't forget the llamas.

@Malyc: Ah, wizards, the original game breakers and trolls, Drop a few tuns of oil around the island, wait a few hours for the ships to show and let them get close enough for a fireball to light the oil that's drifted around the island, catching every ship on fire and leaving ever soldier on board exhausted by the time they get to land, where you are, of course, waiting with your own upgraded chain lightning prepared. They're so cute when they're writhing around in pain... problem?

@Redryhno: No, but then the DM focuses you because you are wearing a Gandalf outfit and throwing lighting around like a madman and die in three hits from a goblin. Oh sorry, the tank was off not being a wizard.

@Red: Actually, those bastards came at us in the night... first we knew they were there, cannon sells were knockin our walls down... they blew up our ship so we had to teleport outta there.

We managed to rustle up a fleet though (had a warlock with all the bluff possible), and came at the Navy for Revengence

@Drmidget: I never wore robes, they got in the way of my running away like the little 30 hp ***** that I was. And this was back in 2nd ed. 30hp was achievement worthy back then. Nowadays that's a regular thing.

@Malyc: silly warlocks and 3rd ed., be a real man are play 1st ed where getting fucked in the ass is a normal occurrence that you enjoy because it's the best possible outcome.

@red: Yup - at least partially (this applies both to being back and the llamas)

@Mal: yes - but shadowrun is somewhat more lethal then it's contemporaries. For instance, take a conjurer - spirits are immune to bullets and any other form of physical attack yet can bring down buildings. imagine one on the other side. now imagine 6 or 12 or 18 and you will understand just how bad a run can get. especially against corps who like to fire space lasers at enemies they don't like.

stealth in SR is... suggested.

@Hiei: Wow, didn't know they'd changed that about spirits, bullets used to do half damage, explosives and the like didn't do anything to them. (I've never actually played third or fourth ed, just used some of the fluff and all.)

@Malyc: Less words than what Hiei said, there's a reason they have SHADOW and RUN smashed together. Not just because it sounds cool.

Sorry,I couldn't resist the impulse.

And if you get caught running against Saedur-Krup, and it's enough that you actually piss Lofwyr off, not even God can help you.

@3quency: Are you saying Lofwyr's punishments for failure are draconian? (sorry, my favorite line in the SR 4 book)

@Malyc: If we were trying to do that, we'd put up something like this...

Sorry, but I had to do it. It's for your own good.
