First time Shadowrun for me. I've always been intrigued by it, but never had the chance to really give it a fair shake.
Name and/or Alias: Joshua Lentel, aka Stigma, aka Todd

Age & Gender: Male, 32

Race: Human

Height & Weight: 5?10, roughly 180 lbs

Type: Gunslinger Adept / Face

Appearance: Joshua usually keeps his raven black hair just long enough to gather at the nape of his neck, pulled back away from his dark brown eyes. He is of slightly above average height and build, with a compact musculature. His pale skin juxtaposes his dark hair, but he normally keeps the majority of his skin covered. Whether it be a classy and tasteful designer suit, or his no-frills operator gear, he always ensures that his trappings look good, even when they don?t. Most times, however, he looks like any other inhabitant of the world, if a bit better dressed.

History: Born to a family that had holdings in more than a few corporations in the 2020s, Joshua?s formative years were that of privilege and relative power in Seattle. In 2058, however, his family?s reach outstretched their grasp, and his parents were brought low by a corporate competitor. Afterwards, he was taken in by his estranged uncle, who had given up the good life for that of a Shadowrunner. His uncle trained him to use his magical affinity (which was a family trait) to augment the practical arts, like shooting things, moving quickly, and being quiet when you don?t want to be heard. While being trained by his uncle, Joshua (now Todd) was utilized as a go-between for contacts and other, more unsavory transactions. Here he learned the art of being the mouth that talks, the ears that listen, and the eyes that see, as well as the face that presents.
After ten years of working and learning, Todd decided to peek his head out from under the proverbial rock, and discovered that he had inherited what was left of his family?s estate. He used the money to establish his own small piece of the world, and to fund his own small armory worth of weapons.
Over the next ten years, he has established himself a bit of a record with Mr. Johnson, taking care of all manner of jobs. Whenever a Corp body was found in his wake, Christian crosses were found burnt into their foreheads, searing shut the bullet holes.

Reason to be here/things to do: Shadowrunning is the life Joshua has lived and understands. And getting to the bottom of who called the hit on his parents.

Notable skills: Joshua is a plain-sight infiltrator of remarkable skill. While he lacks the bells and whistles of similarly capable ?techs? (as he calls them) whom are able to physically change their appearance at will, he is a master of metahuman manipulation. He can charm and deceive his way through all but the most vigilant and steadfast of manned security, and can get his hands on the tools to bypass unmanned security. In a fight, he utilizes his adept abilities to finish exchanges quickly and efficiently. Not one to hunker down and engage in a firefight, he seizes initiative and concludes his end of an exchange, and promptly vacates the area, after marking his kills, of course.

Equipment: Joshua only keeps what is necessary for his task on his person at any given time. Most any piece of tech he may need he either has in his estate, or has a contact that can get it for him, although there are a few concessions to his ?don?t carry anything you don?t need? policy. Most notably, he carries a Cavalier Scout on himself at all times, as well as more than a few fake SiNs. When on a job that may require some wet work, he carries his personalized Browning 58p tripower, which has been modified to accept a silencer, although he has been known to utilize the Ares Predator. He also has at his disposal a Barret M-121 with bipod attachment, for when he just simply must make do.

Contacts: Joshua has very few contacts as himself, only keeping in contact with a mediaphile named Twitch.
Todd, however, has many contacts he knows through his now-retired uncle, as well as an assortment he has gained on his own. Any number of contacts are at his disposal for just as many uses, at varying cost. Many may not like him, for any given reason, but they know his money?s good, and that he doesn?t take kindly to being told to fuck off.

Other: The years have started to take their toll. His constant search for the man that called the hit has turned him into a grizzled man. He keeps holding onto hope, though, that some day he might get to pull the trigger on the one responsible.
If there's anything glaring that I need to fix, please let me know.

Here is my character

Name: Jamal Cross

Alias: The Eye

Age and Gender: 28 and male

Race: Orc

Height: 6'6"

Weight: 223 lbs

Type: Magical Bodyguard/Enforcer

Appearance: Jamal long frame is wiry layered with lean muscle. His pale mossy green skin is littered with runes and geometric tattoos which he claims aid in focusing magical energies during incantations. He keeps his course black hair shaved low. His eyes are an emerald green and a single tusk-like 3-inch tooth erupts from the right side of his lower jaw. During jobs, Jamal wears black jacket and a bulletproof vest overtop an enchanted titanium mesh body suit. The enchantment offers moderate protection from combat spells. When not working he often wears loose beige pants, and t-shirt. He prefers to go barefoot.

History: Jamal's grandfather ran a moderately successful drug operation in the city of White Plains New York. Part of a larger criminal organization, Jamal's grandfather craved for more money and power but feared the consequences of any grabs for power. When Jamal was born and his aptitude for magic was discovered his grandfather immediately set about turning Jamal into his sword and shield. He paid millions to have Jamal privately taught by the best mages he could find. By the time he turned 18, Jamal was a walking magical security system and rarely left his grandfather's side. It was then his Grandfather began making his moves, finally secure in his own safety. Jamal excelled at what he was groomed for, he saved his grandfather's life countless times but he felt lost, as if he was not his own man. He felt like a tool. When he turned 21 his grandfather's age began to catch up with him and he became very ill. Four years later, the old man was dead. Jamal decided rather, than becoming the tool for his father or one of his uncles that it was time for him to become his own man. He escaped from his family's complex and made his way to Seattle where he hoped to put his talents to his own uses. He soon found himself playing a similar role, a sword and shield for those with the money to pay. Still, Jamal finds closure in that he does so for his own profit, and not obligation and has aspirations for something greater.

Reason for being here: Wants to make something of himself, become his own man in the only way he knows how.

Personality: He is not an easily shaken or surprised person and is very relaxed. When working he maintains an aloof, professional persona. In his personal life, while he retains a sense of emotional detachment he is far easier going and more forthcoming..

Notable skills: Jamal is a skilled sorcerer. Using magic Jamal is able to detect traps, poisons and other hidden dangers, observe places from afar, track individuals and objects, tell when a person is lying, hypnosis, create vivid sensory illusions, project images and illusions into the real world, and bend light to render himself and objects invisible. Jamal keeps himself in top physical condition, is a great street-fighter, and well versed in the use of blades and knives.

Equipment: Aside from his armor, Jamal always carries his grandfather's trench knife on him and usually a few more blades.

Contacts: Miguel del Tovar-a local human drug dealer Jamal has worked for in the past. Even though he is only a mid-level dealer he always seems to know something about everything that goes on in Seattle. Often Functions as the middleman for Jamal's services.
Maya Cross: Jamal's sister and the only member of his family that he keeps in contact They remain very close however, Jamal withholds the specifics of his whereabouts and work even from her.

Why oh why did I chose to be a Face? Writing about contacts is so hard D:. Anyway doesn't matter if I don't know an all-powerful guy with nukes. We have Nova, who is pretty much a nuke in human form. Sounds like we're gonna be a big group. And I hope everything will be OK, hiei82!

Ah, Questions!

1- A young postgrad while I was in law school. Blonde and beautiful.
2- Elves. I hear some people have strange fetishes though.
3- Any decent detective book.
4- Scribbling in my notepad about random things I see.
5- None.

1.)'Bout 10. I talk first then shoot later.
2.) Probably purple. A lot of my ties are purple.
3.) An eagle.
4.) Can't say. This is my first shadowrun. I work for myself most of the time.
5.) Negotiations. They're my speciality.
6.) The tie I wore when I graduated law school. I like ties, okay?

Apparently people ignore titles when they say something's closed, but with exceptions for a certain few who are named in the first post....

@Terratina You don't need to specify OOC right now since the game hasn't started.

Sorry about the OOC thing, jumped at it too early then. Who knows, maybe some dual-squad action!

I don't really have a problem with it beyond the title says it's closed, and yet, stuff just keeps popping up.

and don't call me [s/]Shirley[/s] Boss. Hiei might take offense and kill me off prematurely....

@Gabanuka

/high five.

Well, we're blatantly gonna have to spilt up when doing a shadowrun, The Face doing the talking and the Adepts doing the smashing and the Stealthy people doing the sneaking. I only hope that Hiei's mind remains intact.

No rush, @hiei, but when can we be expecting to start this up? Seriously, no rush at all, but I'm just wondering.
