Basically every time I figured out the answer to a puzzle in Braid. Specifically, the first time I returned to the pit and thought, hey, I've been here before, what's different? And then I figured out the trick and it made me feel good on the inside.

When I finished the Wasteland Survival Guide in Fallout 3. Finishing that quest was very satisfying if you did it right.

I couldn't stop laughing after I made Saren shoot himself in Mass Effect
Oh god man! Spoiler that immediately! If I hadn't already done that I would have been a little pooey at you.

On topic, the little things in gaming that I like are the details, the small tibits hidden away in a game that would be normally quite difficult to find that remind you that the developers really do care about their final product.

I enjoyed the attention to detail in the environments of Gears of War. From the wounded struggling as they leave a trail of blood to the macabre grandeur of the locust palace.

Seeing the introduction to the falling battle against Ridley in Metroid Prime 3. I'm wandering around the empty room, thinking "ok what do I do? maybe there's something up top..." so I look up. Cutscene begins, Ridley is revealed, I say "craaaap" which causes my roommate to turn around.

Then Ridley falls on me and we go plunging through the hole. I say "oh no they're not..." and surely enough, gameplay resumes as I'm falling and yelling "holyshitholyshitholyshithoylshti!!!!" as my roommate yells much the same thing.

I was playing TF2 as a spy. While I'm cloaked I see an engie hammering on a dispenser. Naturally I uncloak behind him. I stab him and I'm about to get out my sapper when an enemy spy stabs me. I got a kick out of that one.

Playing fetch with my dog in Fable 2, also just watching what the dog does when nothing is going on is rather amusing.

All those little insignificant things that make you think some game on PS1 is better than the PS3. Basically the nostalgia moments from your past that you just loved the make you think Crono Trigger is best game in the universe when everyone else has moved on.

- Fallout 3: Using the Rock-it launcher to kill a super mutant using nothing but random crap, like coffee mugs and books. The first time I did that was a moment of sheer videogaming bliss.

- Fallout 3: Getting Dogmeat, and having him follow me around. For some reason, he was different from the other companions you got, he was far more... special.

- CoD: WaW: Calling in the dogs for the first time, and watching the kills go up. Amazing.

- Mirror's Edge: There's a hard to describe thrill in flawlessly getting through a portion of the level, never missing a beat in your graceful, swift movement.

Watching about 30 V4 rocket lanchers and 20 bullfrogs get destroyed by an enemy's superweapon in Red alert 3. The explosion was truely awsome looking.

Any time I manage to stick an explosive device to a buddy in a FPS makes me smile. Many of HK-47's lines in the KOTOR series make me laugh. Some of them you have to really talk to him to find. His definition of love in the 2nd game made me actually laugh out loud the first time I heard it.

Maybe when in Total Annihilation, my friends and I would screw around with the poor AI and pick an island map (read: lava and two hills) where they mass hundreds of K-bots and vehicles while we simply tech to a heavy plasma cannon that has range similar to what you might imagine a battleship's 16-inch guns might have. So we were able to annihilate the enemy's base from across the map using static defense. It was pretty funny. :)

I was running through Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 for the first time thinking, "Oh, I'll get a tutorial level or something." I wasn't paying attention to the story or anything due to a phone call. When I found allies huddled in a room I thought, "Sweet, home base. Awesome. I get to learn in safety."

Well, I opened the door outside of the meeting room and saw this fellow dressed in black, walked to him and tapped the A button. When there were no results I said, "What the f***? Why won't he do anything?"

He turned around and shot me.

Biggest facepalm of my gaming career.

The way that blizzard rendered the moon and the stars in WoW. I was surprised at the effort since not too many people look up that high. When I told my guild mates about it, they said things like, "I love you cyranna!"

Finding out that attacking the chickens in Zelda:OoT would result in chickeny death from above.

I was so busy laughing myself to death on the ground, poor polygonated Link bought the big one down from like 15 hearts. Hehe.

Fallout 3
-Your eyes adjusting to the sunlight when you first get out of the vault
-Accidentally killing the doctor in Megaton and no one seem to care and all the patients just got out of bed and left as soon as he died.(was a true "WTF" moment)

COD4- Accidentally shooting my sniper rifle while looking at the other side of the map(overgrown) and getting a head shot.

Chronotrigger- The soundtrack in that game just makes a great game perfect!
