Honestly, I'd really recommend you try GOG.com. They have TONS of PC games Steam doesn't have, and all of them classics. From Planescape: Torment (widely considered one of, if not THE best RPG of all time) to Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, Neverwinter Nights, Ultima 1-7, and just a ton of other games. All 100% DRM free, and EVERY game comes with extras like manuals, HD wallpapers, soundtracks, avatars, and all sorts of neat stuff. Planescape: Torment came with a novelization of the game. Also, aside from The Witcher 2, every game is $10 or less, and to top it off, almost their entire catalog is half off with their holiday sale.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't GOG's business old games? Old as in "we bundle DOSBox with the game in case you don't have it" old? I already use DOSBox and have quite a few old DOS games from back when I was using MS-DOS 6.22 as my OS.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to spend some time playing Raptor in DOSBox...

I'm a PC gamer and I agree with you on DRM. I don't give a shit about DRM and I don't think its a big deal at all, a lot of PC gamers need to stop bitching about insignificant shit surrounding the game and focus on the actual game part of the game.

Then again, I've never had any technical problems related to DRM. Ever.

Then again again, I don't think most people complaining about it have either.

Besides, any problems people have with DRM? Download a crack. Problem solved. "Oh but its the principle!!" Fuck your principles and get off your high horse, gamers. We should be paying to support the actual game designers who worked hard to make an excellent game, not boycotting the entire thing over some silly fluff they added on the end of it.

Don't know why I felt the need to make this post/mini-rant; was just nice to find someone who feels the same as I do. Hope you enjoyed it.
I KNEW someone out there would fit the description of what I assumed the majority (rather than the vocal minority) of PC gamers are like. Thank you for standing up. (not being sarcastic/cynical here)

You're the first person to ever actually come out and support what I've trying to say; DRM is only as much of an issue as one makes it out to be. I feel like in today's gaming, every single person wants to be some sort of fucking industry expert, speaking in almost politically charged epilogues about where the gaming world has gone.

Meanwhile, the rest of gamers, like you and I, are busy playing the goddamn game. The moment one starts down the path of searching for reasons to hate something, they tend to lose sight of what actually matters.

Well I bought Skyward Sword yesterday only to get it home and find out it required wii motion plus...It didn't say this anywhere on the packet mind you.

Now I have to wait 2 days to get the accessory through the post.

Made me not want to play the game because I was kind of annoyed.

I also didn't buy the Witcher 2 because I can't trust it not to be as sexist as the first one.

They're actually planning to get into new games, too, as of 2012.

Anyways, back on topic: I dislike when a game is first person, but they don't do the little things to make me feel like I'm actually playing the character, rather just holding up a camera in front of him. Meaning, I like being able to look to the side and see my arms and shoulders, and looking down to see my legs and feet.
