Gotta be Fallout 3. That game just compelled me to completism. I wanted to see every corner of the wasteland, and do absolutely everything there was to do. And even so, I've only followed the good karma path, and have still never done any of the slave missions, or any of the other bad-guy-path stuff. And of course, once the game is over, there were five bloody packs of DLC to chew on. Not to mention that as a sandboxer, I keep coming back in just to tool around. I haven't done that since GTA San Andreas...Which I STILL pop in and fart around with once in awhile.

It's funny - you play these games long enough, and you get to the point where you know the environment as well as any real, meat-space area. You know the corners to turn to get to your favorite areas, and the places where you've stashed gear to come back for it later. As the realism grows, so does the sense of place. Some days I come back to "my" house in Megaton to dump off a bunch of plunder in the locker, and I genuinely feel at home before I go upstairs to save and turn in for the night. At which point, I ACTUALLY go upstairs and turn in for the night.

Point is, New Vegas had damn well better be stupid awesome. :)

I feel like the noob here. Most I've ever played was 50 something hours on FF Tactics A2. Still haven't beaten it yet. I'm a completionist and I hate going to the final boss before getting every class, every character and every mission.

Not counting WoW, cause that's just cheating, either Fallout 3 or Morrowind, I can't remember how long I spent on Morrowind but JESUS did it take a long time, especially since I explored most of the map. As a side note the longest I've spent playing a single game was MGS4. I'm not a PS3 fanboy but I couldn't put it down, beat it in one sitting, 19 hours, btw final cutscene is an hour and ten minutes long XD

In Phantasy Star Online on the gamecube I maxed out four characters, each cost around 1000 hours. Yes, I was addicted to that damn game.

This ignores every other character I used to max out those four. I mean, item drops are based on an ID and while some items are dropped by multiple IDs, the drop chance can vary a lot.(just look at the drop rates of one of the best magic rods in the game [http://www.pso-world.com/items.php?op=viewarticle&artid=143])

I can't really give any numbers because I don't have savegames, but I played Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 like a maniac when it came out. Took me over a year to unlock all the characters, boards, gaps etc. Easily 500+ hours.

I also spent a lot of time on a bizzare French MMORPG called Dofus. Ridiculous in terms of graphics but the HOMM/FF Tactics like turn-based combat system is strangely addictive...

I have totaled a 6.288 hours of Silkroad Online. That is without hours run with Xfire off, so do I get a cookie for having no life?

This awesome game called the search bar.
(Hey someone had to say it :p)

But for serials... WoW sadly.
Something like... 60 days of play time... over the 4 years that it ravaged my life.

Thankfully, those days are behind me now.

Then next would be Team Fortress 2.
With over 1100 hours.
Wow, you make my hours look minuscule! D:

I have 520+ hours poured into Pokemon Sapphire for GBA

487 hours of Team Fortress 2. The runner-up is probably WoW with around 300-400 hours.

I have no idea how long I spent on games when I was younger, although I guess the competition goes between Age of Empires II and Space Empires IV, neither of which I've played much recently. Now, Steam kindly keeps track of time, and it says I have over 100 hours in Europa Universalis III, which I know is less than the actual total time since it didn't record some games I actually did play. So I'd say about 150 hours, maybe. Followed by Red Orchestra, with around 80 hours.

Pokemon Blue, by the time I had opened my present and saw a Game-boy Color in my face, I've probably played around a month playing it.
