The March Mayhem 2012 thread! Who did YOU vote for?

Bioware shouldnt reall win. They havent even released me3 yet. Bethesda/obsidian in my eyes are much better contenders.

but when voting starts...Mass Effect 3 WILL be out. If it is awesome Bioware should win...if it (somehow) turns out to be disappointing then I doubt they would get to the finals.

Yeah, except peoples' judgement about a game is always clouded during the first couple of weeks. Peoples' opinions are still being formed and it is only about a month later that people really start to take the game apart and decide how it really holds up.

I had Bioware going against Bethesda in the final round, with Bethesda winning the whole thing. Even though i know ME3 is coming out so soon i very highly doubt that every will just forget the amazing, unequaled, mind-blowing spectacle that is Skyrim and its perfection.

I opted for Bethesda as well, tho I've yet to play more than a couple of hours' worth of Skyrim. :/

Sadly (to me), I went with Game Freak v Bethesda in the finals. GF beating out Bioware and Bethesda beating out Valve. It seems this place is crawling with Pokemon fans, so I assumed that they would vote those games thru to the finals. x_X

Since Mass Effect 3 will have been released by the time it starts, and Bethesda made Skyrim, I predict the finale will be between those two, with Bioware winning due to its loyal fanbase on here.

As history has repeated itself before... Escapists can be a suprising mobGroup of people

Let's just hope that there isn't a sheep or a building that is placed in the game to try and convince the facebook masses to come here and vote for the game, otherwise we'll be screwed.

Since this seems to be the main thread for March Mayhem (for the moment anyway) I figured it was best to post this here.

Seems like Bethesda are the first (as far as I'm aware anyway) to encourage their fans to vote for them.

Think it will be Valve vs Bioware in the final round,unless Re-Logic pulls of the same thing Mojang did last year,which is fairly likely consiering the recent events concerning Bioware.Valve will probably beat Bethesda due to the sheer number of fans it has on these forums.

I have Bioware and Bethesda in the finals, with Bethesda winning a nail biter, 53-47, with bioware making a last minute rush on the last day, with casey hudson tweeting about the tournament (in an innocent way, just casually mentioning it...) and turning a 68-32 stomping into one of the closest finals the escapist has ever seen.

Also, has anyone noticed that neither activision or blizzard are in this one?

Yeah I seemed to gravitate towards Valve in every round.

They just get... like almost no negative press at all. The most hateful thing I've ever read directed towards them was "I didn't care for ."

Meh. I vote for who I like for the reasons I like. Besides, my one measly vote won't mean much until Valve go up against a foe that actually has a proper reason to beat them, usually.
