Has anyone ever played "The Path of Neo"?

I thought that game was pretty awesome at the time, and I thought it was a franchise that was pretty much ready-made for video games. Only most of them sucked. But The Path of Neo was decent.

Would a new Matrix game pique your interest?

I think the Matrix train has been and gone now. I love the first film, think it's one of the best action/sci-fi movies America has released in my lifetime. While there is a lot of charm to the set pieces of the Matrix, massive gun fights and the Kung Fu fights with the Agents I just don't think there's a full game in there to explore. Path of Neo was a fairly good game but not amazing.

The best gameplay for a Matrix game though will always be Max Payne with the Kung Fu mod.

Was the Path of Neo that PS2 game where you controlled Ghost or Niomi? If so, yeah i played it, and i loved it too. But it was more to do with the mystery and intrigue surrounding The Matrix at the time and being able to recreate some of those epic scenes, such as the shootout in the lobby during one of the later levels or running away from one of those agents. However as technology and game development has progressed we've been able to do all that and much more in later releases. Like the guy above says, that ship has now sailed. As much as i loved it then, i don't think The Matrix is relevant enough now that you could release a game based on the franchise, although the concept isn't totally distasteful to me.

That was Enter The Matrix. In Path Of Neo you played as Neo himself.

I had Path Of Neo and at the time I enjoyed it but I can't really remember anything about it apart from getting stuck at some point and never being able to get past it. I think I tried it again at some point several years after I gave up and thought it was pretty awful then. But I didn't spend long on it that time since I was still stuck.
