I agree with you, if a company makes a lot of bad games it's likely they'll make more bad games. Anyone who disagrees with that is wrong, (In the exception of a massive overhaul of the company or a inconsistent record of game quality.) but you're coming off as a troll, so stop it.

The first two were great, but they were also made a while ago, developers can change in that time period. Not sure about Rebellion's development team history but I'm not even sure if the original team is still there.

I'm not doubting they won't try to make AvP as good as they were since it's the franchise that made them. But the release date isn't that far off so we'll see pretty soon.

Oh and about that they're/their thing...I guess I'm just dyslectic...=(

Their handling of the demo was quite honestly, awful.

Since the full game was going to use a lobby system instead of matchmaking, the matchmaking system implemented was rushed. And as a result, it barely works on the 360 and is outright defunct on PC and PS3.

On top of that, they couldn't have picked an existing game mode worse for the game. I hate to agree with Tim Buckley of all people but the demo doesn't play to the strengths of Aliens vs Predator.

In Free For All, it is one man against everyone. Since this is the precise direction that Predators went in, it is only natural that they have an advantage over everyone else. And since the marines were designed to work in teams, they got the shaft. Big time.

If this was Team Deathmatch(Much better for this demo), Marines would work in groups and the Predator's overall lacking in ability to work in teams would get the better of them.(One predator vs one marine = Marine dead. Three Predators vs Three Marines = Predators dead)

The core gameplay is great. Wall crawling is better than ever. The graphics are sublime. Shooting mechanics work. Weapons are awesome(Predator Disc = Razor wind from Turok 2. Awesome!) and the full version will be tons of fun.
pretty much this, the predator does have a major advantage in free for all, the additional game modes in the final game should be good though.

There's nothing wrong with being prejudice against bad games and bad developers. That would be a compliment where i am from.

However, sometimes good devs make bad games but bad devs never make good games :)

Rebellion have made good games and bad games. I just hope AVP lands on one of their 'good' game spots.
If the demo is anything to go by, this is one of their good games :)
I don't think I have ever played a FPS on the PC where a character controlled as badly as the Marine of AvP3. He waddles like a retarded duck, can't shoot while running, can't crouch, can't accelerate backwards even slightly, and the mouse input is somehow filtered to the point where it feels like he's turning in jello. (This latter point is by no means unique to the Marine. It almost feels like all the input in the game goes through a console controller. Hmm...)

The entire half-baked melee scheme is unfit for a FPS no matter what the platform. There is a good reason why no one has ever made a successful first person fighting game. But I guess they had to put in some random mashing system to produce "excitement" out of those short range clusterfucks their consolized movement inevitably produces.

There is a laundry list of other easily apparent issues - useless weapons, etc. - but they are completely overshadowed by the control.

At this point I'd peg this as a 5/10 game. Maybe a 6/10 if the single player content and additional game modes are actually good. Maybe a 7/10 if they seriously work on redoing the control. There is no way for an action game to overcome bad control with other elements.

Umm?

Sorry, but are you 12?
I don't know. I've not had a head for numbers. I thought my chronological age was a little over 22, but I could be wrong.

Let's see if I can figure out your age.... Hmmm. Birth date is listed as ", 1981." So according to my math that places you at.... 403 years. Wait, that doesn't seem right.

Say this is fun. Is it my turn to ask a rhetorical and unfounded question? If that's the case, are you Hindu?
Just a little fyi for you. I nearly spit water out on my keyboard reading this post. Have some consideration for your fellow readers.
