The Max Payne Movie

I went in with low expectations, and really enjoyed it. They had like six people working on snow effects and they did an awesome job with that. It's not the best movie out there and I hate the end (and the end after the credits) but I'd still see it again.

This is the only possitive thing I've heard about it yet. Apparently it's worse than Doom, but I think that's pushing it a bit. I've never played the game, read the books, bought the merchandice, so I guess I could give it a look.

So not knowing the story will be better for me. I guess that's a bonus. I'm still not entirely sure what angels have to do with some hardboiled detective.

They're not angels, and everyone's an idiot. It says in the trailer that they're Valkyries, so I really don't get why everyone's choosing to ignore that.

Oh I hope its not another god-awful movie adapted from a video game with the stench of Uwe Boll about it. I'm hoping it'll be good but honestly my hopes aren't high.

Ugh. Horrible. I felt like I was watching the deleted scenes on a dvd and they placed them in some random order trying to make a good plot...

One of the major but subtle themes in Max Payne is the Norse Mythology. My god.

From what I've heard of the film it's bad. What they should have done is base it as close as possible to the game (Not cut out any characters), get John Woo to direct it and Frank Miller to produce it.

I haven't seen the film yet, but from that I assume I should approach it the same way I approached the latest Indiana Jones film. I should go in, expecting a video game movie with a wobbly narrative but with some great bangs and crashes, not have any hopes dashed and thoroughly enjoy watching the film in doing so.

Yeah, pretty much. I enjoyed this a lot more than Indy 4 though. A lot more stylish, and a lot less Shia.

I'm dumb, and don't get half of the fads that are going on here, but why does everyone hate Shia LaBeouf (whatever it was) and Keanu Reeves?

Because they're bad actors. Seems pretty straightforward if you see one of their movies.

At first I thought there is going to be a rant on how blasphemous the movie is because the "Valkyries" looked like angels. My fear was unfounded, because, thankfully, the review has none of that.

Half the time they overact so much it's as if they were in a pantomime, and half the time they...well, they just don't act.

I heard from critics and on metacritic that it's pretty bad but honestly I dont think the film is directed toward them. I'll watch it and being the gamer that I am I will at least be interested in the diff. between movies and games. So no matter what they say ill watch it. Also on a side note i like Mark W. and i think he is a good fit for Max in the movie. On a side note... When the hell did Mila Kunis start to look like that? Holy crap shes hot man, she sure as hell didn't look like that on That 70's Show.
