I'm dumb, and don't get half of the fads that are going on here, but why does everyone hate Shia LaBeouf (whatever it was) and Keanu Reeves?
Because they're bad actors. Seems pretty straightforward if you see one of their movies.
Half the time they overact so much it's as if they were in a pantomime, and half the time they...well, they just don't act.
I resent you saying Keanu Reeves can't act! He did it once in Bill and Ted. There (folds arms) I rest my case. Otherwise, he makes a great cardboard cut out. Man, producers could save so much money if they would use one instead.

Believe it or not, I enjoyed the movie. Granted-- I was high when my friends and I saw it, but I still thought the visual direction was outstanding. The story was generic and the acting fell a little short of "great", but the bullet-time sequences had me (literally) holding my breath. There were also a handful of trippy hallucination scenes that were very well animated.

All in all, a very decent movie. It won't win any awards and will probably be remembered as "just another crappy Video Game movie", but I thought it was worth seeing.

I've seen the billboards, and my first judgement is that it's nothing like the game, as some posters have verified.

Mind you, my sister is trying to force me into watching it because, to quote her directly, "There are wings".

Seconded. I wasn't high when I saw it but I still agree with all those points. Being high might have helped though...

EDIT: Shit, what am I saying, not being high _might_ have helped, being high _would_ have helped...

I just played through the game for the first time a couple of days ago and it was nothing like the trailers. As much as I want a good movie that is based off a video game I have a gut feeling this one isn't going to be much different from the rest.

It was a really fun game; I hope they didn't butcher it too badly.

Having only seen the trailers, I can safely say I won't be seeing it.
The games were cheesy, but I dunno...maybe I've just gotten older, but it didn't look like anything I'd be interested in. (even though when I first played through it I was convinced it would make a killer movie).
