You are not allowed to use any emotional or moral appeals or evidence. Use only logical reasons to prove that there is a point to living.
Logically you can't exclude anything when trying to prove a meaning of life. Logically we need emotions if the point to living is emotions.
I like this one because it broke my brain for a second.
Logically, we cannot find a meaning for life if we only use logic for it would be innately illogical to only depend on logic.
Anyway, I'm liking where this thread is going. Admittedly, I should have made it mandatory to make a logical argument as part of your posts but, either way, this is getting good.
The idea I want to move towards, however, is that the things that we humans (perhaps just Westerners for this example) place value upon in general society is the pursuit of love and happiness and wealth and all that fun stuff. But a lot of these "better" life pursuits are best experienced when approached from completely illogical angles. Taking risks. Pursuing romance. Drinking and smoking. All of these do improve our lives in a straightforward sense but they do heighten the experience.
What I'm trying to say is that the only truly great reasons for living happen to be illogical ideas or pursuits. Any thoughts?
