User reviews are completely useless for AAA games anymore. You can't get a consensus of objective anonymous people on them anymore. An individual user review here and there might be a good one but we've seen this for years now. ME3, every CoD... it's always the same thing with people who care more about tearing the game or franchise down no matter how good the game actually is.

I gotta say, Jim really did pick out some hilarious reviews. I laughed at "ass" and the review comparing Black Ops to taking a huge shit.

Shocking; a bunch of babies feel the need to trash a game that they don't like. Who saw that coming?

Christ, I don't know what's more pathetic: The people who do this sort of thing or the fact that we have such little respect for the gaming community that we expect that this will occur.

And Black Ops 2 is a lot better then MW3, I really don't understand the complaints.

Having played all COD games since MW1, I can tell you than BO2 is, personally, the worst one so far. Its still a good game thougt, just not as good as say, MW2. That one was the best in the series IMO.

MW2 multiplayer makes me happy

I have no problem with this. If people want to vote with a 0, that's their right. I personally would vote with a 2 or 3 but I can completely understand the 0-scores.
If you were required by law to vote with at the very least, 5, that wouldn't really achieve anything. Other than make 7 the new 4 or w/e.

And absolutely no one was surprised. Seriously, did anyone NOT expect this to happen? With a series this big and this hated, it is guaranteed to happen with every installment.

Also, LOL at those people who trust user reviews more than pro ones. XD

EDIT: Also, I have to agree with everybody else: bencam's review of the game was by far the best. Well thought out, well written, and raises a number of great points I had never even considered.

I love how even after Jim Sterling took the time to point out that big publishers don't care enough to "pay" for reviews and that indie publishers are the ones more likely to get up in a stink about it (excluding Cliffy B), people still automatically think anything higher than a 5 for any hyped AAA game is a "bought" review.

The hilarious part is that by review-bombing you are sending the opposite message than the one you think.

The torrents of 0's and 1's and 2's are going to be completely ignored, because they're so hyperbolic. You end up looking like a whiny brat.

Now, tons of 5's, 6's, and 7's, backed up with real arguments, would actually get the attention of developers and publishers.
