Ummm this is nothing like an aimbot. This is more of a "help set the sights" rather than actually aiming for you.
It would essentially do the job done by a spotter, aka watching wind speeds, humidity, and the like, which affect a bullet on its flight path. It would then adjust the sights so that the external enviornmental factors were taken into account. Snipers in the field right now have to manually adjust their scopes, which can take several seconds, and the help of the spotter, to do properly. Without the adjustments taken into account, the sniper has to lead his target, and guestimate where exactly he needs to shoot in order to hit, sometimes having to aim several feet off target in order to hit.
If you dont understand what I mean, think back to CoD 4, where you snipe Zhakeav. Remember how you had to aim off of him in order to account for the wind? Real snipers have to do that all the time, and they have gravity, humidity, and temperature to worry about as well. This scope would make the adjustments for you, allowing you to just aim squarly at your target without having to lead or make estimates.
Its not like the scope automatically moves the gun and does all the work for you, you still need to be a good shot. It just takes a lot of the guesswork and leading out of sniping, making it easier for the sniper.

Lovely. So, in short, now any moron who picks up a sniper rifle - not just trained snipers - can expect to pick me off from 50 feet away while under cover and I can't do shit because I'M THE MAIN CHARACTER.

It's just a self adjusting scope people, relax. There's more to being a sniper than adjusting optical sights.

It's not going to be an FPS Aimbot, it's going to be a recticle that will adjust for distance and speed, like a target lead in air combat games.
