Jinpachi... you temporarily feel awesome after killing that bastard. His instant stun stomp, his single fireball, double fireball, 10 fireballs!

Dante from DMC4 as well, you finally get to experience what it's like being a demon, having your ass handed to you on a dedicated ass handling device.

The first time I played Bioshock, I didn't actually know what the research camera did. So I finished the game once, went to the wiki and discovered that each enemy type has five levels of research, and at most I only reached level two without even realising it. Cue facepalm. Then I went and played the game for a second and third time, seeing for myself what it does, and even on hard the game soon became almost insultingly easy, with sploicers dying left and right. Cue bigger facepalm.

EDIT: Why do so many people use acronyms? Not everyone knows what game you're talking about (well, I do, because I'm a genius, but not everyone).

Mine isn't actually from gameplay, it was Liara's reaction to you in Mass Effect 2 if you romanced her. So angry.

Alkaid dieing made me cry. DON'T YOU FUCKING JUDGE ME! She...she...
*sniffle* SHE WAS SUCH A SPUNKY BIIIITCH! ToT

But seriously, her death was painfully manipulative and the music was orgasmically depressing and I was angry at how the game was manipulating me to feel even more sad than I was and I ran after her killer with reckless abandon. DIE YOU FUCKING-Oh he look flower pedals...
I really liked her too. Made me enjoy destroying that PKer. A little too much.

Psychonauts. The big acrobatic thing in the meat circus, those fiery nets made me rage quit so bad, next day I completed it first try.

Oh, how I could have killed someone then.
I'm right there with you, currently doing a 100% run of the game, not looking forward to that, and I am only one world away D:

Whenever I played the Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Multiplayer. Some douche would stab me and I would be like "I PRESSED B TO STUN HIM FIRST YOU DUMBASS GAME!!!" or "I TOTALLY PRESSED X TO KILL HIM HOW DID HE STUN ME!" and I think I threw my chair at one point. Great multiplayer, just really, really frustrating. (Yes I know I have issues.)

The MW2 campaign. Seriously the realization that I threw away 70 bucks for... "that" almost made me throw the game out the window.
Ah yes, that campaign; I'd agree; especially the final part... Betrayal? WTF?

Black Ops campaign on veteran.

STOP SHOOTING ME THROUGH THESE SANDBAGS, DAMMIT.
If it was at the part on S.O.G which is the downhill fight against the NVA, then I know exactly how you feel; I spent around 20 minutes doing that part alone on easy the first play-through. Stupid telepathic NVA who only shoot at me and idiot AI who stand there and do nothing to help.

OT: Whenever spawnrape starts on any FPS, I find myself starting to punch my leg in order to save the wall.

Moments in Fallout or Oblivion that go like the following produce a similar response; I'm invisible, stationary, crouched and behind a crate; HOW CAN YOU SEE ME!!!??? GAHHH!!!

Devil Survivor. The game has no adjustable diffulculty and a=only autosaves at the end of the day. It learns you to hit the save button if you do anything important, cause you`ll die at least ten times a day. my highscore for not dying was a whole entire day, i was very proud. And the boss bottles just make you want to cry to your mother because of the diffulculty...

Atlus loves doing this to people. They view frustrating and angering people to be a job well done.

assassins creed: brotherhood. assassinating The Banker. 1. He keeps walking on a set path which is far away from the amount of Blend-zones you need. 2. The Courtesans kept on walking away when i got near. 3. (this is also on every crowd-assassination) Fucking civilians get in the way, get stabbed and i get detected. maybe i just suck, but it really pisses me off when i get detected by the guards i was trying to hidden-blade because some asshole basically shoves his face onto my blade.

Facing John Cena in a First Blood match in WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2006.

It took.... 7 DDTs on a table, at least 300 bulldogs, and at least 9 hits with the United States championship belt. AND HE WOULDN'T FUCKING BLEED!

But then, I just gave up and got a chair and hit him once. He INSTANTLY bled.

[HEADING=2]FOAM-OUT-OF-THE-MOUTH FUCKING RAGE!!!![/HEADING]

Argh, you're making me want to buy a DS now.

Also glad to see Vritra from DDS2 is listed on that site. I swear, he's the toughest (mandatory) boss I've fought in an Atlus game so far. He insults you for picking the most logical attack, and on my first try I failed spectacularly when my protagonist had Agidyne equipped and got confused by one of those party-wide ailment spells.

Long story short, boss gets healed 1500hp, which was about 200hp more than I had even damaged him so far. Gsgshdgdfg.

[sub]Might just be the hardest because I haven't played the pre-PS2 games, Nocturne, Devil Summoner or any of the DS games. Have ordered Nocturne though, for masochism![/sub]

Any time in L.A Noire a suspect gives a REALLY obvious clue to being lying, but you have no evidence to prove it. So you choose "doubt" and they get all pissy with you for thinking they're lying. Fucking HATE that shit.

Also, Hunters in Prototype. Why? Cause even with 5 tanks and 3 choppers firing machine guns and missiles at them, they'll always swarm the since guy running over the rooftops who's just trying to get to the next mission.

Actually, I was going to order Nocturne or DDS1 next. Is DDS really good? (I'll eventually play both, but can only afford one right now)
EDIT: I've seen you praise it, but Spoony has me intrigued by Nocturne.
EDIT 2: I'll add the Contrarian King from P4 if only because the fucker tricks you into thinking he has a weakness to fire by casting a spell that raises fire resistance. Turns out fire heals the bastard.

When I first attempted to go for the A-ending in Valkyrie Profile Lenneth, I had done everything correctly. Went through the sacred phase og chapter 7-8. A special cutscene was supposed to occure, indicating that I've would get the A-ending, 100% for sure. Instead nothing happend and I saved, incase something went wrong. Then...I saw that Lenneth had 39 Seal Value, when she should have had 37 Seal Value (need 37 to get the A-ending). With No backup, I was forced to play through the entire game again to earn the A-ending.

DDS1 is great. Unfortunately, it's only half of the story. Believe me, when you get to the end of the first game, you will want to know what happens next pretty quickly. They set up a bunch of questions and foreshadowing, but nothing is decisively answered until the second game. It's like how they stretched .hack into four 10-hour games, except here they stretched a 60-80 hour game into two 30-40 hour games.

The second game is also much better than the first.

Other than that, I think it comes down to preference. They're definitely a lot more.. dungeon crawly than Persona 4, but from what I've heard DDS has a lot more characterization and dialog than Nocturne. The combat systems of DDS and Nocturne are apparently very similar, with Nocturne being a little harder. Based on that information I think DDS could be a good bridge between Persona and the main MegaTen series.

Maybe. I haven't tried Nocturne yet.

[small]I'll have some better/less rambling information once my copy arrives, hopefully.[/small]

In that case, I'll probably wait to get both DDS games. I found the .Hack games unbearable. I liked the GU series, though. Nocturne might as well be my baptism by fire. Thanks for the info.
