What moments in your gaming career have it you the hardest.
For me it was by far the ending to Red Dead Redemption, the twist of KOTOR, The ending to SC 1 and the ending to Oblivion.

What about you, Escapists? What are the moments in your history that are the most epic/emotional/amazing/superlative moments ever! *HEAVY SPOILER POSSIBILITY*

Arena abusing all my characters in Fire Emblem 7.

Got everyone to level 20 except Canas, a few more battles and I would be done.

He goes up against a mercenary with 1% crit. Guess what happened...

...didn't touch the game again for a month.

What? That doesn't count?

Oh man, I know how that feels.

OT:
The scene where Agro falls down the pit, after bucking you off him so you don't fall with him. Sure, you find out Agro survived at the end of the game, but the scene was still crushing. Agro was an awesome horse.

Dom's death felt well done. I never saw it coming. The music and the scene in general had me the closest to tears while playing any game or movie. Don't even like Dom that much as a character but seeing Marcus like that (who I really like) and considering the hours I spent playing co-op either as player 2 or with my brother in the other games it really got to me.

Oh and -

Scene with Meryl in sniper alley. Never fails to get to me.

The various epilogue scenes in Dreamfall.

The were a bit corny and I suspect some of the effect was accidental, but it got to me all the same.

I agree.

Lucas' twin brother, who'd been missing for three years, turns out to be the bad guy's right hand. Just before...

These are my rankings, starting at the bottom.

6) Gears 2. Completing Dom's search. That's messed up.

5) Dead Space: When you find out who really betrays you. No, I'm not talking about your girlfriend. I mean the other person. That caught me off guard.

4) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The part with the Nuke.

3) Aeris' death. Yeah, that got me. I still tear up each time I play it.

2) F.E.A.R 2's ending. Wait...what just? Did she just...? Did I just...? I need to check the internet--Holy CRAP!

1) Modern Warfare 2. I literally yelled "NO!" when it happened. And then, being forced to watch it. Ugh...

I dunno .. I found that to be an emotional high point of the series. Reminds me of a skit comedy I saw in Japan based on Ring. Sadako came out of the TV, and the guy who was there just smiled, gave her a hug, and proceeded to take her on dates to karaoke, to summer festivals, they visited an onsen together ... all she needed was a little love.

In the Grim, Dark Future of the 41st Millenium, there is more than war. There are people there too.

I still maintain that Saints Row 2 has one of the most shocking moments at the end of Red Asphalt.

Both the Ronin and Samedi missions were awesome and a friend told me to save the Brotherhood till last, I wasn't disappointed. Compared to the other two it was a whole other level. And this was Saints-fucking-Row!

The various epilogues of Dynasty Warriors 4 and 5.

Some of the most fitting music I have ever heard in a video game, and both of them end so well that they have been forever engraved in my mind.
