Xenosaga episode 3, never played 1 or 2 and it's the only rpg i've thought had too many words and cutscenes
Why would you even start at III knowing full well of it's predecessors... and them even being on the same console, (so it's not a reach or anything as far as availability) and you still start at III? I'm just trying to understand, man... I'm just trying to understand.

well for one there's an encyclopedia of that happened in the previous games

that and I'm one of those rebel gamers who starts a sequel knowing nothing about it and it's predecessors, i go in blind without knowing what's going on

but in all seriousness i really don't know why i did

Black & White 1

Ugh. Got it after I played B&W2, and it is awful

Call of Duty (any)

And probly Overlord 2
B&W 2 was atrocious and repetitive. it forced you to build cities and just be nice to your own people and it punished you for being cruel. At leats in number 1 being a dicktard was part of the fun? you felt like a God. In number 2 it was like a sim.

earthbound. It reminds me of playing pokemon, but with the attack animations turned off and you only get 4 pokemon. It's about as exiting as one of those text-only adventure games back from the days of windows '95. played it for a total of 4 hours because i had a friend who was obsessed with the thing chanting "it gets better" at me via skype. I later played a midgame file of it and learned that my friend is a lying fuck.

Then again i find turn based RPGs about as exiting as doing math homework while pausing/unpausing an anime for 10 seconds every time i finish an equation... and I don't like anime. but that one is particularly bland.

Some of those japanese dating sims, or as I would like to call them , Clickoramas Deluxe. Seriously only thing you see are KILOMETERS of text and images that slightly change shape every 10 minutes. Ever so often you have some obvious choices but most of the time you just click through every discussion...

Star ocean aswell, what a waste of money

second has to be Farcry 2, Burning down large areas of prarie loses its appeal quickly, aswell ALWAYS driving and ALWAYS stopping to fix it after driving through one of the thousands of gaurd camps
Argh!

Final Fantasy XII. I was so bored that by the time I got to the end, to hear the last boss ask my team 'who the hell are you?!' and frankly, I agreed with him and wanted them to lose.

I desperately wanted that game to get good. it just never happened.

Cliffhanger on the SNES is what immediately stands out in my mind.

Also Guitar Hero, I borrowed it off a friend, it sucked, I really don't get the appeal of it.

Hotel Dusk. I just couldn't get into it.

The main conversation options you had were 'be a dick' or 'be a bigger dick'.

That dude really needed a hug, but I don't think the game was even worth playing.

Old School - that stupid et game for the atari
new school - World of Warcraft (yeah I said it)

Then again to be fair to the WoW fans here, most mmorpg's have been ridiculously boring to me, I guess there is a certain level of repetitive action that just switches my brain of.
You see i dont think of WoW as a game, i see it as a social network with gaming aspects....and my god whats wrong with mafia wars on facebook then? ya dont have to subscribe to that!;)

"Robot warlords"

Take Front mission, then make it SOOOO SLOOOOOOOWWW...

Every action you did took place in crushing slow mo. Walking your mechs. Walking enemies mechs. Firing your guns. firing enemy guns. getting hit by enemy guns. hitting enemy mechs. All so slow.

I spent an hour on the first level fighting three enemy mechs, then never played it again.
Im right with ya on that one, front mission was a savage game, with a really emersive story line, loved it. And then came robot warlords....i got to the 2nd level after playing the 1st 5 times....man i hate that i have patience with things.

To add my own 2 cents, i really cannot see the attraction with tomb raider games? ever since the first one i found them boring and repetitive. the controls were just wonky, she moved like a robot. and the story or gameplay didnt make up for it, her ass and boobs did, but that all the camera seemed to focus on.....grrrr.

EDIT: I really enjoyed the early starocean games, esp the one with Rena and celine on the PS1, id love to be able to find my copy of it, or find a copy of it somewhere. Im gonna buy til the end of time too, but ive heard nasty things about the new one, even from this thread alone, any suggestions?

Yeah and I agree it was better to be actually allowed to choose between good and evil instead of pacifism or satan in B&W2, but I still preferred it, I just thought B&W1 was too slow and, well boring
