I am actually relatively entertained by "waiting" or "doing nothing," so I'd have to say I'm most bored when doing some sort of reading for school that is focused on literary techniques, symbolism, or history, rather than science or just something with an interesting plot. See, when doing nothing, you can choose what it is you want to think about. When doing forced reading, your attention is being directed toward something that is likely far less interesting than whatever you could think about yourself.

A dance performance I had to go to. 5 hours I sat through to watch the 2 minutes my sister was actually dancing.
Similar story, except it was my cousin and the performance was 3 hours long.

I had one in my head like five minutes ago but I lost it. >.<

These days I don't really allow it to happen, every time time starts being a burden my mind takes the first thought to pass through and expands it by miles making me come up with some crazy story that keeps me occupied.

sitting in a 3 hour exam when you finished in the 1st hour. (I still did well. But why the hell can't I give the invigilator my paper in exchange for a book?D: )
Yes, this is it. During my exams I finished almost every exam in half the allotted time. On the bright side I did manage to catch up a lot of sleep. You would think teachers could set these things an appropriate length.

The point in a 3 hour exam when I realise I have finished after 45 minutes. (Got an A*) 2 hours and 15 minutes of sitting staring at the wall. Good times nothing better than killing over 2 hours by seeing how long I can hold my breath. (it appears my sarcasm meter has just broken.

Agreed! I have a 2 and a half hour stats exam coming up, which looks all set to be boring since I've been finishing practice papers well within one 50 minute lesson.

I know how you feel, when I got my license there was a heavy storm so I had to wait it out plus their computer and their system in general got messed up so after I think was about 6 hours of waiting, I found out the system got messed up and I had to come back the next day to get my license.

Took a plane and there was an 8 hour pause between flights in London.

When I went with my Mother, she decided to sleep on the chairs while my brain slowly rotted from the inside out from all the boredom.

Of course, when I went with my Dad and had to do the exact same 8 hour stop but we went sightseeing instead. Was awesome.

Not that I blame my mom, before arriving in London we had to take two different planes from India making a total of 13 hours of flying so far, plus it was raining like hell. With my dad, we were arriving from Greece after a mere one flight, and it was sunny outside.

1/2 day suspension. No reading or music, only school work. Well I already had my work finished and sat staring at the flickering light for 4 hours.

When I was a teenager and experiencing some emotional problems, my father and I were referred to some classes and therapy sessions on managing depression, stress, and anger.

The classes should have been named DEMONSTRATING REDUNDANCY. We spent over two hours per session:

-Reading short pamphlets we were issued,
-Reading a white board the doctors would write that was what the pamphlets already stated (sometimes verbatim)
-Reading a Powerpoint slide Presentation of what the pamphlets and board already stated (sometimes verbatim).
-Listening to the doctors read (sometimes verbatim) and repeatedly rephrase what the pamphlets, board, and slide presentation already stated.

To make it worse both doctors were really anal about interruptions. They had the air of the "I spent years to earn a degree in this, so I know what I'm talking about and don't need your anecdotes" mentality. So they would only accept questions after finishing twenty minutes intervals of reading aloud and ranting.

If you went in wanting to learn how to manage depression, stress, and anger you're not really in luck. But if you wanted an opportunity to manage depression, stress, and anger you're in luck. Everyone came out of those sessions depressed, stressed, and angry.

Standing SIX HOURS in line at the Frankfurt-airport because we lost our connecting flight to USA... My dad got fiercely upset as this trip was something he had been looking forward to for half a darn year, because of this he kept saying (somewhat loud in norwegian) that "the reason the germans lost the war was because they were so god-darned sluggish" (the war being a reference to WW2).

...Yeah, that was both the most scary and boring thing I've ever experienced.

School choir concerts are pretty up there on the boring scale. I went to support a friend and ended up napping through her entire solo.

Start to finish Metal Gear Solid 4 non stop. (that includes the cutscenes)
I lost part of my soul that day.
"that was raven, she got raped and then more bad shit happened, and then she got out and went mad, so she somehow managed to get a suit of armour more sophisticated than a spiders asshole and decided to kill some dudes in the midle east"

No Drebin, I just went through hell I don't want you to fucking call me to make it worse

"that was Octopus, she was chained up for some abirtrary reason, then she got out and got her hands on a suit of armour more complicated than mother nature and thought it'd be a good idea to imprison a Doctor, you know, because she was imprisoned herself and it'll make her feel better"

ARGHHH !!

"That was Wolf, she was in some horrible blah blah, and then she went mad and SHE WENt AND GOT A FUCKING RAIL GUN ATTACHED TO HER HIPS"

AND THEN THEY WOKE UP!

I enjoyed the game, but whenever Dredin called to tell me the latest celebraty gossip on the Beast unit, I was like "oh god no, just please no, its so boring and forced"
