Pretty straight forward topic...

this is what I've done

I've sense learned half the song and can play it at full speed; but you still get the idea

EDIT: because people seemed impressed I did a Live 1 take recording; you can tell because it was uploaded 2-3 minutes ago

here's what I got thus far

Since this thread is about epic things I've done with an instrument, I'd have to say it's either plucking a few strings on a guitar or playing Mary Had a Little Lamb on the recorder. What? I'm bad with music.

you dont wanna know man o_O my psyche has locked that away as deep as possible, and I dont know how to get at it. All I know is it was something with a guitar and a walrus.

OP: That was.... pretty awesome! now play the rest :p

I attempted to even play one. Needless to say that part of my life was short-lived.

I won't play the rest until I can do it blind-folded! **is completely insane**

Does having sex on a base guitar count?
I wouldn't call that epic so much as hot and awesome

but it was "on" and instrument... (ha ha)

very impressive... would of been more if it was on a guitar but this is pretty damn good

mine would have to be playing more or less any song by rhapsody but more specifically

Learning to play the entirety of Geddy Lee's bass line for RUSH's 2112 on an upright bass was pretty crazy. Fun as hell though.

I played in the Blues/Jazz band trombone at a small College. We played at basketball games mostly. There was this song we played where myself and the lead saxophonist take turns playing 6 measure long solos, while the rest of the band played in the background. We were supposed to have 2 solos apiece. The last halftime of the year, myself and the saxophonist took turns doing this for approximately 8 minutes, and the rest of the band just kept it going and let us jam. It was awesome.

You know the over the shoulder guitar swing thing?
EDIT: Not me in the video.
Well I did it as a joke, the strap came off and the guitar went through a window.

When I was a teenager and extremely drunk on firewater, shot an arrow with my BC rich warlock bass into a drunken friends asscheek to which we collectively chipped in 60$ to convince him to do it. In retrospect... the buzzkill from sitting drunk in the ER lobby for 3 hours while he was getting stitched back up wasnt worth the 60$ or the laugh, or the broken bass string

I've been learning a lot of protest the hero lately. I can almost play all of bloodmeat now:

Haven't quite got the tapping at full speed yet mind, I'm frickin' lazy. For christmas!

Edit: In terms of actually being crazy, probably jumping off amps at band practice, for the last chord. I nearly fell into the drums one time. :D

Huh, that reminds me of a slightly more melodic Dilinger Escape Plan. As in crazy awesome.

OT: I can play most of Avenged Sevenfold's/Metallica's material, among other things...as for the craziest thing I know, probably Dream Theater's In The Presence of Enemies Part 1 (minus the solos). Man it takes a lot of practice, but guitar is worth it =)

Why do I get the feeling some of these stories will start with, "this one time, at band camp"
I played my guitar with my teeth... and that's about it. I learned I was a better vocalist and I sucked at guitar so I focused on singing and I hate bands where the guitarist is also the singer. Got Enough Groupies Guy?!?!
