In terms of sheer power, few can match the fully-loaded Infinity Gauntlet.

The gauntlet's real power comes from the six Infinity Gems it carries.

The green Soul Gem allows the wielder to steal, alter, or otherwise manipulate souls. It's also a portal to an idyllic pocket universe that could, in essence, serve as a portable paradise. Essentially, it's control over life as we know it.

The orange Time Gem allows the wielder complete control over the past, present and future. The user can time travel, age or de-age beings at will, and even use time as a weapon by trapping enemies in never-ending time loops.

The purple Space Gem allows the wielder to be anywhere at once, or, if they choose, everywhere at once. It allows complete control over the way objects occupy space, and can thus be used to move anything anywhere, or alter how space works (like altering the space inside a soda can to be the size of an Olympic swimming pool, for example).

The blue Mind Gem allows the wielder access to the thoughts and dreams of other living beings. Essentially turns the user into the most powerful telepath in existence.

The yellow Reality Gem allows the wielder to fulfill wishes, even if they directly contradict the laws of physics.

Finally, the red Power Gem allows the wielder access to all energy that has ever existed, or will ever exist. In addition to making the user superpowerful and invincible, it can be used in conjunction with other Gems to boost their effects.

In the wrong hands, this puppy has the potential to be the most destructive weapon in existence. Of course, it's also got the potential to accomplish feats of goodness, but who wants that?
Red the comic book. Even Mephisto bowed down to Thanos. 'Handle with care' like he said.

Kratos.

Hey, you said no strings.
I did say that. And this counts. David Jaffe originally meant for Kratos to become Death itself at the end of the trilogy. Death is a force of nature, ergo, you're on.

Batman with a Green Lantern ring. There's a funny picture of that, but I can't find it.

red matter. Seriously, a drop creates a black whole. What would happen if it was all released at once? Probably end of the universe.

It's kind of pointless since in the end you wind up with the destruction of all that there is. Pretty much any variation on the Entropy Bomb wipes out everything and every reality, some people are more clever about naming and describing there things, but in any conversation like this you wind up with "poof everything is gone" being argued against the same thing if debates even occur, so what it the point? :p

Yes, he is standing on the ENTIRE GALAXY!
Gurran Lagann easily wins this. It may be totally ridiculous, but something that can throw around galaxies like frisbees has yet to meet its equal.

We have all been there. You go through comics, encyclopedias, games (video or otherwise) and you come across something that is not just powerful. It is power and destruction personified. From the might of a sword plunged into a rock to the devastating blow that a simple notebook can provoke to someone very life, fictional power elements, artifacts and techniques are the reason some of us got into fiction in the first place.

So, what's your favorite? No strings. You can pick anything you want.

I will go with the Black Knight's Armor from Don Rosa's story. You do not wanna mess with a French guy who apart from being the best thief in the world, has an armor and a fucking sword full of Omnisolve.

OH MY GOD! I can't believe that someone actually knows Don Rosa! I've never met anyone that knows him! I'm not alone!!! WHOOOO!!!!

OnT. Most powerful fictional item/weapon etc? Just a little box with a button. When pressed, the Warp merges with the normal universe. The end.
Or Tyrranids!

Non fictional? Human imagination. Think what would happen if everything anyone imagined actually came true?

I'd have to say the control over reality. You can make it attention-drawing or suttle, destructive or gentle, and in the end, the job gets done.

That doomsday device that Farnsworth has in Futurama.
"Oh, that kills everyone, everywhere."

In the end, if the Dark Tower gets destroyed, everything ceases to exist.

The sphere thing from Infamous.
Use it enough, and if none of your "friends" tries to destroy it, and you can become insanely powerful. + you can use it as a bomb as is.

Time Paradoxes.

Why destroy a planet, a galaxy, or a universe when you can destroy an entire parallel existence?
Hey, Artemis Fowl created a time paradox, and al he got was a headache from thinking about it.
He hasn't experienced a soul-rending death when his universe collapsed due to a minor logic error, he has no right to talk.
Remember kids, every universe wants time to be a 1-to-1 function. When you start punching holes into it, bad shit eventually happens.

The Death Star
Really? You're choosing the thing that BLEW UP within two hours of its introduction? :L Hell, they didn't even finish the second one.

My cheat answer would be 'life itself' as this is basically the origin of all weapons. And the target. But still the origin.

Otherwise, it would be the... hmm. Nope, just life, I think.

EDIT: NEVERMIND THAT, THIS DOES THE TRICK.

Gordon Freeman's crowbar. It is not, in any way or shape, affected by the laws of physics, and indeed defies any and every natural order of things. It only transfers energy in one direction, as evidenced by the fact that Gordon can endlessly smash anything with it without feeling even a slight discomfort. This is in stark contrast to an ordinary crowbar, which reverberates quite a lot after a solid hit. Subsequently, it's also unaffected by the ordinary laws of momentum, as Gordon never needs to recover at all from a swing, as if its mass didn't even exist for the purposes of following a swing with another. Even underwater, its movements remain completely unhindered. It shouldn't even need to be mentioned that no matter what kind of ordinary damage the crowbar is subjected to, it doesn't suffer at all. Its blows are also astonishingly powerful, nearing a gunshot.
It would seem that the crowbar doesn't even actually need to be returned back after swing, but due to some bizzarre perversion of all we hold true, can "loop" the blow for an endless barrage, blow after blow, without ever having to pull the arm back. This could imply the crowbar is some sort of a quantum device.

It can thus be surmised that the crowbar is from another plane of existence, not being affected by our laws of physics. It's quite likely that it isn't actually a crowbar at all, and simply resembles one to us so that our feeble brains wouldn't cave in under its impossibility. In the light of this, it could well be argued that the Resonance Cascade Event was not caused by any of the suspected reasons, but was actually due to the presence of the crowbar, which warped the expected results completely. Also, when Gordon attacks the Combine tower, his crowbar is seemingly obliterated into nothingness. However, this is not the case, as subsequentally his gravity gun is suddenly imbued with incredible power. It is well possible that the crowbar's reality-rending presence caused this.
Possibly the crowbar has some sort of a defensive mechanism against destruction, as it appears again later on. Due to the unique properties of the device, it would be impossible that every crowbar Gordon finds is a different one. This profound causality of the man always finding himself in the possession of the device is intresting, to say the least. Perhaps some outside force has seen it fit to outfit the One Free Man with such an awesome weapon of impossibility. Or, perhaps, the crowbar itself does as it desires...

Deadpool's guns.

He shoots the comic and destroys the universe. He also kills the reader, so that's like murdering god.

I want to say something from 40K, but nothing I can think of comes close to some of the things already mentioned.
Blackstone fortresses, they literaly send star systems into supernove. That or fire a stream of another dimension at you.
Yeah I considered that, but though one is powerful, you need all 6 to get to galaxy crunching levels of power, which is a lot of hassle. Plus 4 of them were destroyed.

EDIT; If anything from 40k I'd say probably the armies of most races and factions themselves are pretty much impossibly powerful forces. I mean for one you have Orks, commonly said to be the greatest war machine ever, if only they could be controlled/directed (they especially count since they were created as a bioweapon in the first place). Then there's the ctan and Necrons, uber powerful star gods in unbreakable armour (one of whom became the literal personificication of Death in the galaxy) and the Necrons themselves who are utterly unkillable machines who were essentially victorious last time they were awake in their harvesting of all life.

And then there's Chaos. Deamonic hell gods from another dimesnion who feed on and grow in strength based on psychic energy from all living things, who regularly destroy whole sections of realspace whenever they get too powerful, which they all are, all the time, because the things they embody keep growing ever larger and out of control, which can only result in the complete destruction of all life, and most none life.

And let's not even get started on the Tyranids, infiinite numbers of space bugs who eat planets and never suffer losses in battle no matter how many are killed, who quite possibly have murdered everythign in several galaxies and which no race can really have a hope of stopping.

Oh and of course, the Emperor, who is a 50,000 year old semi-corpse whose pyschic power is so immense that he not only keeps the million planet wide Imperium functioning at all times, but also fights all 4 Chaos gods constantly and pretty much stops the destruction of everything, everywhere at once at the same time.

The fucking zerg.

Just held off that swarm of suicide bomber insects? OH SHIT AIRBORNE ZERG.

Took them down too?

Fucking infested terran spam.

20-30 infestors just waltz under your base then barf up 100 infested marines.

Held those off?

Ultralisk drops. With banelings. And speedlings.

If you can hold all of these off, you must be the team of Gordon Freeman, Duke Nukem, Chuck Norris, Chuck Greene and Captain Falcon.
