Resident Evil 4 was bad enough to deserve mention, that's not fair to the equally craptastic 5.

*waits for obligatory DA2 comments, despite not being on the list and despite it being a fantastic game in and of itself*

Nope sorry, DA2 was a great game both as a sequel and on it's own merits. Accept it, love it, move on. Period.

Far Cry 2, mainly because it had quite a bit of potential. If a few design choices were made, this game could have done wonders.

I smell me some opinions. Look, it's obvious neither of you will agree, and I haven't played DA2, or the original for that matter. Based on what I've heard, the game went from being a case where you could put your own character into the game to a set one. I'm not saying the rest of the game was bad, just that that right there says Bioware kind of forgot why people liked the first one.
(sorry for double post, I just don't want a flame war to start)

Lessee..

Bioshock 2. Granted it was fun. Based on its own merits. But it had Bioshock to contest with and it really didn't do that good of a job.

To a lesser extent Farcry 2. Still, finally enemies who didn't have the vision of a hawk on steroids.

Yeah that's all I have. Really, DA2 was fun. Opinions will be different, just because a person enjoyed it doesn't make 'em any better/worse than you. The End. :3

The only difference is Hawke had a back-story and a voice, when comparing the silent hero of Origins to DA2.

Yeah, Dragon Age II was fun but it wasn't horrible... and Resident Evil 4 was amazing...

*thinks*

Bioshock 2, fun but didn't live up to Bioshock 1.

Once again, haven't played any of the games. it depends on what people like. I prefer a blank slate, not a set cast. Each to their own, however.

Mercenaries 2 was disappointing, not because it was bad, I actually enjoyed it a lot.

It was disappointing because it was the sequel to my all time favourite game, and I wasn't really expecting it to surpass Playground of Destruction, which it didn't.

However, it did make some good, welcome improvements such as more vehicles in the shop, co-op, more civilian vehicle variety, water vessels, swimming, climbing ladders and a much larger variety of soldier designs.

Red Faction Armageddon. They took one of my favorite sandbox, freedom-filled and revolution rich games and replaced it with a plain, linear, alien shooting-fest with awful use of GeoMod comapred to Guerrilla.

Damn you Volition, Saints Row the Third better make up for it!

I may be wrong, but I don't think Volition developed Armageddon

For me, probably Black Ops. The campaign was a lot of fun, but the multiplayer just felt like a big step backwards from Modern Warfare 2. Fewer toys, boring balance, boring killstreaks, boring weapons. It was just boring, compared to the craziness that was MW2. I'll take an imbalanced fun game over a boring balanced one any day.

I thought they changed the formula a little much. I liked the combat from DAO, also there were so many rich atmospheres that simply werent there for da2. Also the story in DA2 just felt so chopped up.

Aside from da2, I have to say Halo 3. I'm not an anti-halo person but it just didn't have the same feel thast 2 did. The multiplayer combat lost most of its close combat feel and the campaign was honestly sort of dull. Reach did better, at least.

Kotor 2. It's one of my favorite games, i just always put it on my list as it was sadly rushed and not finished.

My personal most dissapointing (at least recently) has to be red faction armegeddon. It simply didnt feel like a red faction game, and Ive loved the series since the first one came out.
