I've gotta say it.... plain old tan Wal bass. Made awesome by Justin Chancellor and a set of slinky strings.

I am a fan of LTDs, though. Much faster action and a better range, standard. It's a shame only one person is known for using them.
DUDE!!! No bass! Just guitars! Read the rules!
Fuck that! It's a bass GUITAR. Read: semantics
Nah, I don't think so. Close but no cigar. But c'mon think of a guitar, shouldn't be hard.
Or I could keep annoying you.

The only annoying thing is you trying to use spoiler tags and see you fail horribly. Please stop. If you're not going to answer correctly then don't answer at all.

For me, the Ibanez RG-570 from around 2000 is one of the best I have, but the new XPT-700 Xiphos is pretty slick as well.

Plus, as a metal player, you gotta love the BC Rich Warlock and Warbeast.
...okaay.

But who plays them. Any notable users?
The BC Rich Warlock is one of the signature guitars for Mick Thomson of Slipknot. I have one myself, the Doc Murdock edition from the Body Art Custom series; it's not the greatest for playing clean sounds, but when it comes to Rock and Metal... boy oh boy, can this baby bring the noise!

Not a fan of any of these guys but I love their guitars:

Trigger - Willie Nelson

He's had it forever and will keep it forever and that's why it's a sweet guitar.

Frankenstrat - Eddie Van Halen

Eddie made it himself and it's been on multiple world tours which is why it's awesome.

Most of Woody Guthrie's guitars

Legendary because he almost always put "This Machine Kills Fascists" on his guitars. It's punk before punk, protest rock before protest rock, Dylan before Dylan.
And that little phrase instantly makes most guitars sound better.

You took the words (or pictures) out of my mouth.

I'd also add the Les Paul Black Beauty.

It's just so elegant, yet badass. And to honor my favorite guitarist, the John 5 Telecaster Prototype.

Also, not to brag (or, maybe a little) but I can totally play that.

EDIT: I forgot Fellwarden's new guitar, it's just so damn beautiful:

You have missed entirely the point of the thread completely. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Ouch!

But really...
I can't remark it hard enough. You just can't go around naming random models. It has to be someone's guitar, owned or played by someone. Someone famous. Or else.
Are you telling me you don't think Link, the Hero of Time, is famous?!?

...;)

One guitar belongs to the hall of fame more than any other.

If guitars were people this guitar would be the god

All along the watchtowers people.
The strat is overrated, yes it is the standard body shape for most guitars today, but performance wise it sucks. Yes I have played an original strat, and yes I did just say that.

It has to be the Hello-Kitty guitar i saw in the music store last month. It was just so dam awesome.
These?

Dave Navarro of Jane's Addiction and ex-member of The Chilli Peppers played one.
Yeah almost except it was a little bit wider at the bottom area, didn't get a close look at it.
