Rock Band, and technically I'm still paying for it.

The Rock Band special edition was like $150 when I picked it up. Then there was buying another guitar so that we could have a full band, so tack another $50 on that. Then you have the massive chuck of DLC that I have bought which is around 300 songs it'd be save to say that roughly $600 has been put into the game.

It's a fun party game though and DLC money comes from a group of people, not just myself.

I paid £70 for the collectors edition of GTA IV, metal box, duffle bag and all, which is roughly $110/?80 , other than that, just the average £40/$65/?45.

If DLC counts, then Rock Band 3, I have over 600 songs for it. If not than the Collectors edition of Starcraft 2 for $99.

I paid $178 (Au) for Super Mario Allstars on the SNES back in 1993. I still have the game, and original box (in excellent condition) to remind me how much I paid. Looking back, I also appear to have paid $129 (Au) for Final Fight.

Turok for the N64.It cost IR£70 which is pretty expensive considering most games cost around IR£50 at the time

Or else Animal Crossing for the Gamecube.I imported it from the U.S meaning I also had to buy a Freeloader to play it so between the game, freeloader, shipping costs and exchange rates it cost me around ?100

San Andreas. Pre Ordered it at full price, then that copy didnt work on PS2, so fixed up my Ps2, then that copy broke so I bought another, then I moved between disk regions so I bought another new PS2 copy, then I got an xbox 360 and downloaded it.

All in all, about $195

I've never spent all that much on a game, I'd guess the Morrowind Collector's Edition (which was $60 or $70).

Collector's Edition of Dead Space 2
I made the mistake of ordering it through amazon.COM instead of amazon.CA, so they slapped import fees on top of the shipping fees.
I am an idiot.
I am not even going to mention how much that cost me. You would all weep.

I bought the Test Cartridge for the game Silk Worm for the NES. Back in the day they only made one cart to beta test the games prior to their release and I have the one and only of said cartridge for the game Silk Worm. It cost me $300. My Black Tiger arcade machine is a close second at $275.

Technically it was the Special Edition Modern Warfare 2 with the console. I needed to get a new xbox after my old one red ringed, and that 250 gig hard drive was too much to pass up. I think it cost me $400, and it was well worth it. Maybe not the game itself, but the console definitley.

If that doesn't count, then the SE of Halo:Reach for $80 bucks.
If console bundles count... $800.00 for a lightning edition (FF13) PS3

If not i think it was $220.00 for Halo:Reach Legendary Edition. maybe more.

Well, living in Israel i've had to pay through the nose for games. Gaming shops here really take advantage of the fact that we are basically isolated and charge the equivalent of around 100 USD for new console games. I know that many other countries such as Australia have this problem, but hopefully with the growing popularity of digital stores it will be solved. These days I order my games from the UK or buy them on Steam.

Bad Company 2 wasn't worth the 60$ i payed for it. I didn't play it nearly as much as other multilayer games, but i've been getting back into it recently so we'll see...

More than likely it was either Burning Crusade or Warhammer Online special edition. The art books totally made the extra cash worth it to me.
