You die (in game) in the most ridiculous, over the top manner, and can't help but laugh. Either due to the absurtidy, or even the spectacle of it all, something about it just comes off as humorous to you.

Just Cause 2 with a friend watching me play.

I was piloting a chopper during a fight against various enemies but it was fairly damaged so i decided to jump and grapple myself to the ground to save myself. I hit the ground and looked left to right saying where's the chopper a couple of times then all of a sudden it comes crashing down on my head killing me. When I jumped, I figured it was moving enough that it wouldn't fall straight down like that.

My friend and I had a good time laughing at that one.

Just Cause 2. I was surfing on top of a Boeing 747-type plane. I didn't realise that if you're surfing on top of the plane that it slowly starts going down.

I didn't realise until it was too late. Jumped into the plane and tried to pull it back up but it hit the floor and skidded into a petrol station as a giant ball of flame and scrap metal.

"Eternal Darkness - Sanity's Requiem": No actual death but it is quite funny, when your sanity is low and your limbs start to fall off and you lose your head...

"Ghost'N Goblins": First you are in your underwear then you turn into a skeleton...and die...

"Caveman": You become an angel and fly to heaven. Awww!

Saints Row 2, when I went skydiving a long way to only get introduced to a plane and then start slowly falling to my death...its was amuzing...for a couple of seconds.

Suicide in games can be pretty funny, like in Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. Stare at the Cthulhu Idol, inject some morphine (I think that's what it was) and eventually strangle yourself to death...or blow off your face.

My favorite deaths though came from Dark Void. Turn on your jet-pack in any small, indoor space like a hallway or something and you smear yourself along the walls and ceiling. Funny as hell!

This, Your screen stays white for too long though Although reaching the height limit is very fun if... deadly.

Another would be Destroy All Humans, When lifting a tank with psycho-kinetic powers, do not walk under it by mistake like the last 50 civilians did. The ragdoll physics will make you their B***h and propel you across the map.
