What's the most horrific way to die?

I'm not talking about embarrassing deaths (like an accident with a sex doll or something), but rather terrifying, painful and disturbing deaths at the hands of another human being.
For example, being boiled alive, or being fed slowly through a wood-chipper.

And before you think otherwise, no, I do NOT have James Bond tied up in my basement. And I'm not doing this for jollies either.

I'll go for suffocation. Your salvation, air, is so close yet so far away. Must be horrible.

Being slowly cut to pieces by mechanical blades, controlled by one person; While restrained to a metal surface. When i say slowly, i mean as in slow enough to take an hour to get to the end of your fingers.
It'd be positioned so it didnt cut your head, neck, or arteries.
When your arms and legs were gone, it'd shred you in a matter of seconds and burn the remains.
Optionally, an individual could do the same thing with a machete i guess, but thats less artistic.

I alarm myself sometimes :/

having an unremovable tank on water on you're head. Then, after 10 seconds or so, flaming sword through the gut.

Drowning, one of the most terrifying ways to die, stabbed through the gut, one of the most painful (So I am told) and being on fire, also one of the most painful.

There's probably worse, but I was just mixing stuff.

Most horrific death I can think of . . . this is going to be fun.

Falling from a great height while on fire. Not dieing when hitting the ground but laying in pain then have something come over and start to maul you then it leaves and you suffocate on your own blood.

That is the most horrific death I can think of at the moment.

Death by a thousand cuts would suck. Or something like having your finger and toenails pulled out one by one, then all of your hair, then slowly cutting off your fingers and toes and basically everything that can be removed before you die. This would, of course, take place over several days.

There are these street sweeping cars with those steel brushes up front. Getting under one of those brushes would be rather horrifying, I'd say.

Or like in Layer Cake where some guy gets his heart boiled by a hot iron. Nasty.

being slowly crushed in a compactor, feet first, feeling your bones snap, and your organs slowly being crushed, your vital fluids being squeezed out. that or feet first through a wood chipper. slowly

Burning and drowning I think for "normal" but to answer the question I think there is a series of movies called Saw. There are few not so nice deaths. The slowly slowly slowly shredded limbs and burning the veins in the end to slow bleeding and thus death would be... well not nice I imagine.

Probably death via brain vivisection. Essentially, you're given a local anesthetic to allow you to feel no pain as the top of your skull is removed, beautiful music and images play in front of you, then, over the course of several hours, a well-trained neurosurgeon removes pieces of your brain in sequence, beginning with high-order functions relating to the senses. Slowly the music looses its rhythm, beauty, and melody as you become tone-deaf, and then develop amusia, you watch as the beautiful images loose their color and vividness.

The surgeon continues to cut, removing more and more of your brain, but making sure to leave as much of your situational memories (Long term and short term) and higher reasoning skills intact. As you reach the end, you've lost your ability to speak and understand language, your ability to hear, see, smell, or feel anything, you've forgotten how to walk, to tie your shoes, tto use a fork and knife, or how to smile, you can no longer even wriggle in your restraints. All that's left is the parts of your mind that let you remember what you've lost, the reptilian, primitive core of your being, and the frontal sections that let you realize all the implications of what's happened to you, before finally the knife comes down, beginning to peel back layers of your reasoning one by one.

You feel yourself becoming less and less intelligent, your thoughts simplifying, loosing coherence. Eventually, you are reduced to nothing but a few neurons generating primal fear with memories of being something greater, before the surgeon makes the final cut, severing the medulla oblongata. Your heart and lungs stop instantly, and your remaining brain cells die over the course of several minutes, starved of oxygen.

The rack!

It is a contraption designed to dislocate and break every single joint in its victim?s body. Tied across the device?s board by the ankles and wrists, the victim?s body is then pulled in opposite directions by turning rollers at either end of the board. One gruesome aspect of being stretched too far on the rack is the loud popping noises made by snapping cartilage, ligaments or bones. Eventually, if the application of the rack is continued, the victim's limbs are completely separated from the body.

Ouch!
