Cognitive psychology. And yes, psychology is a science damn it!

Currently doing second year cognitive psychology. Freaking people out by telling them what every part of their brain is doing is really, really fun.

Megatronics. Really interesting, but right now, its a small field in contrast. Though imagine the potential. Cybernetics here we come!

What?! In so much that your drug fungi are yours?!

Anyway, no chemists? No-one likes cooking?!

I'm an entomologist, so bugs bugs bugs all the way. Evolutionary aspects make them great to study (so much to them, check the jewel wasp, awesome reproductive aids... walking a cockroach to its death. Ha!)

However, must say... chemistry, the art of moving electrons!

Artificial Intelligence. I know this has become a catch-all phrase for lots of different disciplines, but I'm actually interested in "real" AI, aka Artificial General Intelligence or Strong AI. In other words, making (and investigating) actually (human-level or better) intelligent system.

Once we have those, we can also make progress a lot faster in all of the other fields being mentioned here. :p

Evolution and ecology, I have an obsession with the natural world.

Incidentally, there are many people who want to introduce African lions to the Great Plains of the USA, in an attempt to moderate a wild horse population that is booming uncontrollably without a natural predator to stop it.

See, that's awesome!...and possibly pretty scary for the locals.

This. Which is why I'm studying for a degree in AI and Computer Science.

Also very interested in Astronomy which has been mentioned several times here.

I'm beginning to see a pattern here:

1. Physicists/engineers: plenty
2. Biologists: plenty

&

3. Chemists: *sigh*

No-one else yearns for the sweet smell of cleaning acetone?!

And die 20 year before time? :p (yes I am aware that only applies to organic chemists)

And some inorganic chemists, I think you'll find. Besides, say hello to an organic chemist! *points at self* Though it's great... first day in lab: FIRE! Plus, the head of the research group is an explosives expert, tell me that ain't awesome.

I'll just say chemistry because if I say anything else the Supreme Commander will kill me :(

In one of our inorganic courses started with the professor firing some TNT off followed by "Now that I have your attention."

It was awesome.

It took far too many posts for somebody to notice that. This was intended to be a pseudo-troll thread, but people did not take the bait.

Astrobiology, thought it's bit of a gamble. The chance you'll find anything useful is fairly small, but if you do, then holy shit it's big.
