I just levelled up my Imperial Spellwarrior's Blacksmithing to 100, and I got the Dragonsmithing perk, whne I made a few copies of the armour armour and Enchanted them, I had all the money in Whiterun, and it got me thinking; what is the most lucrative profession in Skyrim?

For me it's smithing, but for others it could be enchanting, alchemy, thieving etc.
Please do not say things like "Adventuring", becuase that is a generalisation, and I would like you to be specific.

So my fellow Dovahkiin, what is the most lucrative profession in Skyrim?

For me, I would say it's smithing. That's what I like to do and I'm a level 100, so I can make good coin out of it.

However, the real money lies in alchemy. All the ingredients are free and abundant. The potions themselves are light, so you can carry a ton of them. Finally, you can make some absurdly expensive potions. It's really a no brainer, alchemy is a cash cow.

I agree that Alchemy is the cash cow, as stated above. I made 4k as a level 4, purely from items I collected along roads.

1 iron ingot + 1 leather strip + any soul gem = iron dagger with banish enchantment, value >1700 gold.

Also, the right three ingredients can give you a potion worth 400+ gold.

Not that it matters. I have 90,000 gold, nothing to spend it on and so much loot I can't find anyone to buy it. Skyrim's economy is pretty broken.
