what's the most original boss you've ever fought in a videogame?

Alot of WoW bosses are pretty Original gameplay-wise, the Cataclysm Beta brought really sweet mechanics into boss fights to make it alot more enjoyable and challenging.

i would say, maybe, the end from MGS3 just of how LONG it was and how it was a sort of cat and mouse and cat and mouse and cat battle.

Quadraxis (not sure I spelled that right) from Metroid Prime 2. Although to be honest each of the zone end bosses from Prime 2 were quite memorable.

Linda from Psychonauts. Mainly for the second-person chase scene, though the other stages are rather tricky as well.

Although disappointing, the giant vagina at the end of Borderlands was original and unexpected. Who knew that you would have to fight massive genitalia?

I don't commit a lot of video game bosses to memory, and so the strangest--which is just another term for original in my book--was the Nihilanth from Half-Life. Yes, I'm behind the curve on Half-Life; I haven't even finished 2 yet, much less Episode 1 or 2. No, I don't care that I'm behind the curve on these admittedly-epic games. Yes, Half-Life is awesome.
