Pulling off a kill in any FPS that the opponent just did not see coming. It makes you look much better and smarter than you are. For eg, in Halo 3 (apologies) a friend was running across the other side of the map (Guardian) I threw a grenade where I guessed he was going a few rooms in advance, not expecting anything. When, a few seconds later, I was greeted with "You killed friend"...well it was nice.

Spoiler alert for Fallout 1...

At the end of the first Fallout game, after being expelled from your home vault after saving everybody's lives, you shoot the Overseer, and he blows up in half. Soooo satisfying...

Any time you successfully sneak into a base, sneak out again and blow the C4 charges, blowing the place to hell and back, to the shock and horror of all the guards that are perplexed as to why it exploded.

Half because you just pulled off a daring sabotage, and half because you just made something big go boom.

Oh, and defeating large vehicles on foot without much damage is a good one too.

Watching thousands upon thousands of Orks/Imperial Guards run into your well entrenched forces and DIE, DIE, DIE. Then, because you know it's a diversion, you send a few tankbusters to the one "Weak spot" in your defenses where his armored division comes around to be blown asunder. This is of course followed by your one skull probe flying into their base, succumbing to their stationary defenses...And sending a terminator squad, an assault terminator squad and two dreadnaughts next to their HQ. There's just no recovering his losses from that one.

Mainly though, just watching the russia-styled thousand man assault where it seems like your opponent believes that big enough piles of corpses will grant him a cover bonus and let him get a few meters closer to your base.

Needless to say, if nobody guessed it, Dawn of War is the game.

Pulling off a Brutal Combo in Uncharted, especially when it involves:

a headbutt
a knee to the face
an enzugiri kick to the head
or, in a sick way, a kick in the balls. :)

The animations and effects make it all the more satisfying.

On Vacant in CoD4, i was running away from 2 guys and i just kept on running into ppl and shooting them. It was when i finally got a frag off and killed my chasers that i realised i'd racked up a 15 kill streak. That felt reeeaaal good.

And getting shepard some action in mass effect after all the hype and build up :D

Whenever you struggle so hard with some boss and you finally beat the bastard's ass.

Oh man. It's just below the satisfaction of watching Britney Spears ruin her career on national television.

Any time you unlock an achievement. The little "achievement unlocked" window is so satisfying.

My most satisfying moment in a game was when I beat Mike Tyson for the first time in I Wanna be the Guy. I was still new to the game, and it was really hard the first time round that level.
