Basically, what gets you all tense whilst playing a game?
Personally, being a spy in TF2 and infiltrating without anyone killing you, whilst you follow a heavy, ready for the backstab is quite tense. But fulfilling once you get the stab.

Doing a lone stealth mission on Operation Flashpoint generally gets me pretty tense, especially if I end up getting discovered. Which I will.

I could actually feel my guts clench when a BMP crossed my path about two metres away once.

a glitch in hitman 2. I was hiding on a ledge a few inches from falling off a tower, a guard walked by and ran over like he saw me then turned around only his head kept staring at me. his eyes were red too so it was sooo freaky.

Stealth always seems to tense people up.

That level in COD4 where you have to disarm the missiles.

On Vetran.
Never played CoD4, is the checkpoint really far away or something?

No, but the level is timed and gets ball-tightingly tense after the clock starts winding down and steam is flying everywhere.

All Ghillied up, when your trying to avoid the APCs and walking troops, just feeling the shake of the APCs moving right next to you and seeing the soldiers pass within inches of your body >.>

Nothing like the knowledge that you're outgunned, outnumbered and have a lot of skin you'd rather not have shredded with automatic fire to keep you alert.

Especially when the checkpoint is about half an hour away.

Choice A, The moment in Resident Evil 4 when you have to swim back to your boat, while being chased by Del Lago.
Choice B, the first time the stupid protaginist/you are attack some unholy hell spawn you the first time in a horror game.
