I watched my grandmother slowly die of cancer over the period of two years. When the moment finally came, she lay on her death bed, with the whole family in the room. I was holding her hand when she gasped her last breath.

This event led me to convert to Buddhism. I haven't shed a tear since that day. It's been four years. She was a week away from her birthday, and two weeks away from mine. One week after new years.

I once was on a bus where these kids were bulling this black girl. I wanted none of it, but they threatened to beat me up. This was like 5th gradeish. They started to throw shit at me, so i started to choke the poor girl until they were satisfied. I was completley mortified. I am a different person. If i could do it again, i would take the beating.

How come in the other thread you said it was 1/8" plywood?
I was exagerating the thinness in the other thread. It was just how well we could hear the couple. Either they were using megaphones or the walls were thin enough to punch through.

I have no way of knowing just how thin the wall was, but if I had to guess it was probably a quarter to a half inch.
Oh I see, but that's nothing. I walked in on my parents going at it. Beat that!
I'll try. My parents don't acknowledge my existence because my red eyes got them banned from their church. I'm their f**king daughter for crist's sake.

A few things. The most recent one being the End of Evangelion. Before that, I usually ended up traumatizing myself, with the things I drew and my reactions to the murders and car thefts I constantly hear on the news.
That movie raped my mind through my eyes and left it in a ditch to rot. I'm a pretty smart person, but not even I could understand it.
It doesn't take intelligence so much as insanity to understand it. I kinda understood it, but I used wikipedia beforehand so I had foreknowledge.

Can't think of anything really traumatizing, but I was there when my cat I had since I was 2 and could remember died. The cat did scream in pain, and I was depressed for a few days. I am more hit by the prospect of a pet dying now.

Also, seeing this one depiction of the Tails Doll. Stumbled upon it, and it scared the crap out of me.

Wow, can't really top that one from Slainpwner666, feel better bud, as for me, I'm gonna go with the day my 360 Red Ringed (second time) and I realized that the only other available gaming console I had in my house was a Wii...it was truly a sad day.

I see what you did there.
SHENANIGANS! This person has modified my post.

But seriously thank you. I forgot to bold that.

my most traumatizing experience was when my grandma was on her death bed with cancer and couldn't recognize anyone in my family because of her Alzheimer's which had given her dementia and barely any of her words made sense except when she occasionally muttered "oh god" or at least something which sounded like it. at least she went peacefully, if she had lived much longer she would have been like a baby trapped in an adults body.

Wait, you have red eyes?? Pics or it didn't happen?

Also, any parent who cares more about their religion than their daughter doesn't deserve for their daughter to care about them.

"You have brain cancer". Oh yeah, that was great.
I'm better now, btw.

It was a cold day in December and my feet were numb. I had no car insurance at the time. Since I couldn't feel my feet, I had no idea that I'd actually stepped on the gas a bit too hard and literally swung the car out of its parking spot. I literally came within less than an inch of hitting another man's car. I didn't even know it until I'd looked out the driver's side window and saw how close the car was. When I got home, I saw a tiny 2-inch scratch on the driver's side door.

Had I hit his car, I would've been fucked. Really...really...fucked. I thank god every day for sparing me, but the incident will haunt me for the rest of my life. I take a small amount of solace in the fact that everyone else has forgotten said incident.

Then they deserve absolutely nothing from you ever. If that happend to me I would totally run with it and play the evil, demon child card to the extreme. In essence you would be giving them what they expect.

Fuck, I wanted to be a witty bastard about this subject, but after reading some of these I just... kinda felt bad.

I really can't say I've experienced anything actually traumatizing (the day I got an internet connection doesn't count) mainly because it seems that I just can't remember them.

My parent's, however, seem to remind me from time to time about various things that I just can't seem to recall. For example: according to them, I somehow accidentally hung myself with a steel chain from a swing set when I was six. I have no marks or any physical proof of this, so I just take their word for it.

I go into everything with very little hope so Im never too traumatized ever since I nearly drowned on a trip to Mazatlan, MX
Me and My dad were gonna kayak in the ocean until a wave flipped the kayak, trapping me under it. Under most circumstances, he would have noticed that I was under the kayak, but we were at an island stop on a cruise which had an open bar so he was kinda tipsy. When I finally got the kayak off of me, my Dad was like, "Where were you?"
Now I never trust him when hes drinking and Im sorta afraid of the ocean

Whatever, just wash your hands.
I suppose the most tramatising thing to happen to me was the creek behind me house flooding, it hasnt happened just once, it happened over and over, the worst time was watching it rise like 6 feet in a few hours and almost get in the back door, probably the rising water combined with the metal roof (heavy rain on a metal roof sounds like machine gun fire especialy with bad insulation) combined with it happening over and over usualy when I was almost over the last time it happened, altho its been awhile since it happened last so its either due or the city finaly worked out some good drainage down creek

I nearly drowned when I was little and my grandpa did nothing to help me.
Some girl I had relationship problems with told our school principles that I was suicidal.
EDIT: I wasn't suicidal at all.

Sorry, haven't been traumatized yet.
Or at least I can't remember...
Oh, damn you, subconscious mind!

top 3 are very personal so i'll tell you number 4 ... earthquake happened when i went to see a friend in algeria (a bad one) parts of buildings collapsed causing injuries to people that i'll never forget
we sprinted down to the beach, alot of people unharmed and others quite the opposite so the sands were very red in some places

when it was over builders and random civilian volunteered to help the soldiers and rescue teams lift the rubbel, what was under it had me throwing up and not able to eat for almost a week ... anyway when i got back i had some minor PTSD but got over it surprisingly quickly with no meds thank fuck

Well, in comparison to other poster's moments, these are just little things but...
My Dad had a heart attack, he also ran away once (thankfully he's back and he's feeling fine), the school kids mocked to the point of an mental breakdown, and some other stupid kids used a Heil Hitler gesture once which ALSO put me in a mental breakdown (since I'm jewish).
Okay, these were just little moments that can't be as traumatizing everyone else's but it made me sort of screwed.
