So I've recently started a new world (seed: iceicebaby) and I've finally gotten around to making a more sophisticated series of structures (beyond the basic castles).

In my quest for more easily accessable building materials, I decided to have a look at building a cobblestone generator, not wanting to dig underground to much. I can tell you now, it's bloody useful. I don't have to trek down long tunnels, hell, I don't even have to go underground, save for the occasional piece of iron.

So tell me Escapists, what's the most useful item you've seen in Minecraft? It can be craftable or buildable, or even from a mod, just as long as it helps you.

P.S. Also gotta note that the cauldron from the Better Than Wolves mod pack is genius!

mob grinder. Infinite tnt. But im a lazy sob and it looks like so much work....i really want one, but whenever i start i just instantly go 'meh'.

Im more the kind who just likes to keep exploring caves and conquering them with torches and fighting off the monsters.

Useful? Minecraft? HA! Surely you jest!

On topic though, i'd say the diamond pickaxe. Mostly cause i just spend my time building things, and it's my most used tool.

The workbench. Beat that.

And this sentence is most definitively not done to avoid the low content thing.
