I'd say my knowledge of the existence of all these websites online has negative usefulness. Why? Because it tempts me to be less useful at work.

Simple!

The NES password to fight Mike Tyson is 007 373 5963.

I didn't own this game as a kid. I didn't play this game a TON as a kid or as an adult. I've never had to enter this password hundreds of times and yet it sticks with me.

I'll often forgot phone numbers I use weekly. I've even forgotten my PIN number after having used it for over a decade regularly. But this password has been etched in my memory for a lifetime. No idea why, it's just there.

If ever you don't have access to the internet and need this password...I'm your man.

In the Philippines, there is a traditional folk song about the garden surrounding one's childhood home and all the vegetables the singer's mother grew there. It's called Bahay Kubo. Turns out that every single vegetable mentioned in the song isn't native to the islands and are introduced species, mostly brought in by the Spanish.

Captcha: rack your brains
OK, is anyone else getting a little weirded out by the Captcha???????

Actually ducks have both. It's a barbed corkscrew penis. It also gets erect so fast it looks like it is firing out of the duck.

Octopi is technically wrong, octopodes is the correct Greek plural form. Or you could just say octopuses like a normal person.

Orca whales are actually a species of dolphin, and have a social structure as complex as ours (and elephants). I could probably go on for ages, they're fascinating creatures.

The Basque language (spoken by the Basque in northern Spain/southern France) is genealogically distinct from all other surviving languages, even though it's surrounded by Indo-European languages. The only other language thought to be related is Aquitanian, which is extinct and even that is considered more of an ancestor to Basque.

Ice-cream headaches/brain-freezes are not caused by the cold itself, they are caused by the nerve endings in the mouth returning to normal temperature.

Fallout Boy is named after a character in a movie being filmed within a TV show. Bart auditions for the role and hears the following from the casting people. "Congratulations!!! You're the new Fallout Boy!", " That's what I'd be saying to you if you weren't an inch too short". He then proceeds to wear platform shoes, a striped suit, and escort a tiny dog around to look taller. Milhouse gets the role.
I kept waiting for the obscure/useless piece of trivia before realising that perfect knowledge of 20 year old episodes of the simpsons is not quite as common as I think it is. I'm sad now.

And lady ducks have a fake vagina that they can use to make sure they don't get fertilized when they get raped.

And have you ever seen a seahorse giving birth? Don't. That's not just useless information, it actually hurts to know how that works...eughhh...

Also, I could tell you a lot about the stories, cultures, and lineages of the denizens of Middle-Earth, from the creation of Ea to the end of the Third Age. Although, that's less useless knowledge, and more awesome knowledge.

So what is the one piece of knowledge so obscure and so useless that there is basically no way you will ever need to know it and no likelihood that you would ever meet someone who needed to know it?

For me the most useless fact i can bestow upon the masses is this:
Cockroaches are incredibly drawn to the smell of urine and banana peels so much so that if you ever need to attract a large amount of roaches to a spot there is more than likely no better bait.
Well pretty much everything I know about geekdom ranging from comics, to video games, to movies, to PnP RPGs, etc... which is quite a lot to be honest, has no real value at all. I mean I could go on about 2E AD&D and it's trivia for days on end, but none of that knowledge is even remotely useful to anyone, ever, in any practical sense. At the end of the day even most gamers don't give a crap about the minutae.

I suppose in theory if I wasn't such a mess I could become a youtube personality, but for the most part people who follow that stuff care about current events, so such knowledge is useless other than dropping an occasional reference.

That's way too long to wait.

Barnacles have the longest penis in relation to their body. They'll actually have it reach out of their shells and plop it into the nearest unsuspecting barnacle. If I remember right, the ratio is something like 15:1? Should have gone with my gut, it can be up to 40 times as long as their body.

Hopefully this can sate people for the next 6 hours

I'm actually on GMT time, so it's already past 10pm. Thank you for backing me up though!

A blue whales penis is the largest in the world. But with the ratio of it's size compared to it's penis size, it actually evens out as "average" if we were to shrink them both down to human size.

I'd say knowing who Anita Sarkeesian, Zoe Quinn, Brianna Wu, Milo Yiannopoulos, Sargon, Christina Sommers and Adam Baldwin are is a waste of brain-space. I am sure there are other people that belong on that list, but I am actually grateful that my memory is failing me right now.

The largest thing a blue whale can swallow is a grape fruit. Unless you plan on getting trapped in their mouth and decide to choke it to death to get out, not exactly useful.

If your Walkman is playing cassettes too slow or too fast, there's a little hole on the back where you can insert a screwdriver and adjust the speed.

Is knowledge useless if it helps amaze/astound/amuse people at parties?

Well, the most useless knowledge I can think of off the top of my head is that the physical matter of an average human body - all the protons, neutrons and electrons - occupy the same amount of space as a grain of salt. But it would be the same weight.

So yeah, the human body is mainly just empty space. On a sub atomic level.

I got something like that. If you where to brake down humans to there base elements they would sell for 1-2 grand. Never let anyone tell you you're worthless.
