When originally bred, the Siamese Cat ranged from two to three times its modern size and was used as a guard animal (and there are cases on record of them viciously attacking intruders even to the modern day)

I forgot one, the longest word is the chemical name for titin. It's over 180 000 letters long, and takes 4 hours to say out loud.

No, I haven't memorized it. Yes, I'm sad about this

Men have a longer ring finger than index finger, women tend to have them at the same length. This is due to the influence of testosterone and a man with equal length ring and index fingers has a much higher chance of self-identifying as homosexual.

Certain species of monkeys masturbate so that they can eat their own ejaculate. It is speculated that this keeps their semen "fresh" for mating. The scientist who discovered this was female and thus did not want to interview the monkeys due to the awkwardness that would inevitably ensue. The last sentence is a lie except for the fact that the scientist was indeed a lady.

Triangles can have the sum of their internal angles exceed 180 degrees or be less than 180 degrees if they are drawn on curved space rather than a flat plane.

The USS William D. Porter is probably the most unlucky warship ever built. During its joke of a career it...
- Dragged its anchor across the deck of another ship while leaving port because someone forgot to pull it up all the way.
- Nearly blew up the ship carrying the president of the United States by accidentally rolling a live depth charge overboard during a training exercise.
- Nearly blew up the ship carrying the president of the United States by accidentally launching a live torpedo instead of a dummy one during a training exercise.
- Accidentally lobbed a shell into the front yard of the base commander's house when one of its sailors got drunk and wanted to try out the guns.
- Was finally sunk after a kamikaze plane that had been shot down by another ship exploded underneath it after nose-diving into the ocean nearby.

All of its crew survived the incident, and were forced to live for the rest of their lives with the shame of knowing that they served aboard the USS William D. Porter.

I've got a few.

I know the BASIC programing language for both Atari and Commodore due to having had a Commodore 64 and Atari 800XL growing up. When I learned to read I actually wrote games for them. Having both of the Computers set up baffled my friends in Middle School. I also still have them and all of the peripherals made for them.

Large scale bed bug infestations can cause major infestations of things like the bed bug eating assassin bug and cockroaches, as those are their predators. Also a feeding bed bug often bites three times along a blood vessel.

I know all of the standard load outs for a great deal of Battlemechs from the BattleTech franchise. One of the stranger choices is on the Timber Wolf a.k.a. Mad Cat Alt. Config D. It mounts Two Extended Range Particle Projection Cannons(one in each arm) 4 Streak Short Range Missile Launchers 6(Streak SRM-6 for short, two on the left and right torso each) and a single Extended Range Small Laser. The odd part is that one Streak SRM-6 on each side is mounted facing backwards, considering the nature of Streak SRMs in general it'd be extremely difficult to aim them.

James Bond's signature gun, The Walther PPK, was used by Adolf Hitler, and was the gun he used to kill himself in the Führerbunker. Also, Elvis Presley owned a PPK named "Taking Care of Business".

Platinum Game's logo continues the Japanese tradition of having a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure reference in everything, by being a subtle nod to the stand Star Platinum; Hideki Kamiya's favorite stand that he mentioned on Twitter once.

Also, one's human fist is relatively the same size as their heart. Useless knowledge is power.

If you name a character from an anime/western cartoon/video game (or their voice actor), I can name what other roles they've played.

This is the kind of thing my brain apparently deems "important".

In order to make the "Tom Marvolo Riddle" = "I am lord voldemort" thing work in french, they had to make Voldemort's middle name Elvis.

The russian city of Ulyanovsk was named Simbirsk before the october revolution

Before the reign of Cathrine II Simbirsk was named Sinbirsk.

The reason for that was that the city was build a top of tyrk/tatar settlement and it was difficult for russians to pronounce it.

Also it may be because the name translates from tyrk language as "Lonely Grave"
