My partner and I spent about 200 on the collectors edition of Earthbound (the one with the game guide in the large box).
That was the only version of Earthbound; they didn't make a small-box/manual version.

Myself, $170 for Radiant Silvergun, followed by $130 for Panzer Dragoon Saga. As for whether I feel they were worth it, well, it's hard to say if any game is worth over $100. PDS is good though a far cry from "best RPG ever" as everyone says it is. I haven't finished Radiant Silvergun, although I love the soundtrack.

Although PDS has since ballooned to $400, so...

$175.00 for the SWTOR Collectors Edition....yes I was one of those losers. $350.00 if you count my fiancee's copy too which I bought as well.

Next in like was $90.00 for a boxed collectors edition for Fallout New Vegas, behind that was $75.00 for the boxed collectors edition for Fallout 3...I still have the lunch pail and bobble head around here somewhere.

The Sims 3?

I estimate around 1200 total. Close to 700 for the base game and all its expansions, plus around 400-500 for the store content.
Worth it because my SO is a huge Sims fan.

If you only count a single 'purchase', $1,065 for a Kickstarted game, Dreamfall: Chapters.
Worth it, definitely. I am absolutely happy with what I got.

Aside from WoW which I haven't kept track of, I'd say that would be a tie between Halo 3 and CoD: World at War at about 100 bucks (I bought the games earlier with map packs later).

For service-centric games(MMOs, F2P, and all that fall between): I think close to 50 bucks in Warframe.
FYI, that was before you could sell stuff for Platinum.

For REAL games: About 80 bucks on Borderlands 2 (Krieg + Preorder; I had the Season Pass gifted to me early on Steam for Christmas otherwise it'd be higher)

Prior to that, games topped out at 60 bucks, (gross, NOT adjusted for inflation in which case virtually any of my NES games would blow these out of the water. Thanks Nintendo monopoly!)

Its hard to say, probably Chrono Trigger. It was probably the most expensive SNES cartridge ever when it was released and I also got it again on PS1 and again on DS.

A close second is Demon's Souls since I ended up getting the Asian before it was announced for NA release and couldn't cancel my order so I got 2 copies.

Then there is Skyrim which I got 2 DLC for, and Fallout 3 which I got the collector's edition of and 2 DLC.

I've also put a lot of money into PWI, but not in many years since there is no reason to do so.

I don't know any specific dollar amounts. I do know that I'm getting tired of everything I get on 3DS going on sale for like 75% off not long after Q_Q
