My vote, is for ANY of the "Back to the Future" movies. They were cheesy and campy and we all love them. The idea of a time machine is something we all would like to have. (Even if some of us wont admit it.) Since this movie has released, there have been numerous parodies, nods in other movies and video games, and even a upcoming brand new video game.

What movie do you think represents the nerd/geek culture?

P.S. Mattel, I STILL want a hoverboard.

Star wars?
I wouldn't know why, but it's one of the first things people bring up when talking about us geeks.

Looking at my DVD collection I'm struggling to see anything. I don't know if I'm gonna get shouted down for this but, Scott Pilgrim?

Wrath of Khan, maybe? The other one that comes to mind is Dr. Strangelove. Not entirely sure why.

I think we'd all like time machines AND to spend time with Doc Brown. And yeah, hoverboards.

But yeah, I was tihnking this one in particular. Kickass is pretty much comic book nerd culture, but Scott Pilgrim is all-inclusive.

No, Scott Pilgrim is way more of a hipster film than it is a nerd film, despite the fact it has all these video game references, it doesn't actually do anything with them other than to point them out as 'hey, these are cool at the moment, right?'

War Games (the Matthew Broderick one), I mean, it's about a guy who hacks into a military computer to play a game. Tron would also be up there I suppose

Tron comes to mind, though I haven't even seen all of it.

If that's "representing" nerds and geeks, I really must not be one.

Nay, if we are truly to find UNIVERSAL nerdity in a movie, the discussion begins and ends with Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
