It's been a while since I've seen 'Platoon', but I don't think that line came from 'Platoon'. It probably came from 'Apocalypse Now' or 'Hamburger Hill'.

that quote is a bit to high brow for a mad max movie, there is a flick called Guadalcanal Diary but I doubt that's where the quote is from.
