I know you said Twilight was exempt but it is genuinely the only film me and my wife have ever walked out of. After 45 mins of watching miserable teens doing nothing but staring at each other we couldn't take anymore and walked out! BTW why is the vampire in school? He's hundreds of years old! Is he retarded or just a pervert?

I don't see why Twilight was as all bad as that, admitadly I'm not as fan of it as the next guy but I don't get the irrational hatred put towards it, I think its a jealousy thing with girls swooning for some unexplained reason over Robert Patterson or that unlikable bloke that plays Jacob, old "Bloody-Whats-His-Name".
Taylor Lautner. He was also Sharkboy in 'The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl'. Anyway, I liked the Twilight films, I liked the books, I hate Edward Cullen and I hate the screaming fangirls who give us proper fans (those who can see past the flaws and still like something) a really bad name. That sums up my view on Twilight.

Anyway, getting back on topic. I couldn't sit through Apocalypse Now. Flame me all you want, but I read the novella it was partially based on (Heart Of Darkness) and loved that, but when I watched Apocalypse Now it was in an optional after-school supplementary class for the course where we were reading Heart of Darkness. I sat through the first class to see the film, never bothered turning up to the second. We watched the Redux version, you see, so it had to be split over two classes, and I never bothered going to the second showing because I just couldn't take any more. I have no doubt it's a good film, but watching that version, it was just excessivley long and I couldn't really get into it.
Although I love Apocalypse Now (despite hating Vietnam war movies) I can see why you walked out on it, the movies biggest flaw is how long and confusing it can be. The acting is brilliant, the premise and the atmosphere is brilliant and the dialogue is superb but it can just drag on for some people.

You liked it because it wasn't really a Vietnam war movie, it was a movie that took place during the Vietnam war. Just like how Gone with the Wind took place during the Civil War but wasn't a Civil War movie.

High School Musical lasted 2 minutes before I left the room and didn't return for 2 hours later, I decided watching paint dry was a better use of my time.

Master of Disguise, I walked out as did my mother and little sister.

More recently however, I have discovered a bad jet li film specifically "the Black Mask" it is a truly terrible movie with highlights including; a terrible dub, shoddy camera work, a plot that makes no sense and a large number of completely non-sensical occurrences including a fire extinguisher exploding into flame when it got shot.

I stopped watching Cloverfield in from the beginning for some reason I don't for the life of me know the reason.
You just had an allergic reaction to JJ Abrams. Don't worry, a lot of people do.

Two words-Speed Racer.

I can watch crap movies due to Mystery Science Theater 3000(thanks a heap Joel), and sat through some utter pieces of garbage-Hannah Montana movie(Yes, I love my nieces that much), Harry Potters, Snakes On A Plane, Dragonball Evolution(Didn't think I would like, but actaully not bad) and yes, even Twilight(Don't judge, it was a free ticket and I had two hours to kill...slowly and painfully it turned out).

But, Speed Racer is the only movie that I have left a theater within 20 mins of the film and have asked for my money back so I could go see something else.

I liked it because it ditched the whole Vietnam war part of the movie, at first when watching it that's all I thought it was going to be. Just a bunch of Americans going into the war and killing every thing and going Hooraa. However it sort of gets to that point and then it ditches it, along with taking 'its' Surf board. Then it plunges you into some thing darker, scarier and deeper. See in Apocalypse Now the 'Vietnam war' is treat like a background character, you can certainly see it and it's presence is there but were not experiencing it, while Chuck Norris and his team of hero's are out taking on Charlie we're only catching glimpses on that and were more concentrating on our flawed hero's and there slow deterioration into madness as the carry on down the stream until they finally reach the 'Heart of Darkness'.

The Ninth Gate.
Its a film directed by Polanski and starring Johnny Depp, both of whom (whom, ha) I love. Usually. However this film is so slow, dull and wierd that I enventually I just had to stop watching; if only so I can imagine the film suddenly becoming amazing right up until the finale.

The Ninth Gate felt less like watching a movie and more like watching someone play a Gabriel Knight game.

'Wanted' was the last movie I didnt bother to finish.Basically it felt like it had been written by a 14 year old boy ,and a pretty dim one at that.

I think any new Ali G movie I just can't sit though that much stupidy, I'm really surprised no one has shot him yet. Bruno is just an excample of trying shock the audiance not be funny but rather see how far he can take his act without incurring bullet wounds.

The main problem with Bruno is gay people aren't anywhere near as funny as people from a former Soviet backwater.

Oh yea and I walked out of I Am Legend because I couldn't fucking stand it any longer.
The movie really sucks. They've taken the book threw the whole story out of the window, made a movie from the remaining action sequences AND if that wasn't enough already they changed the whole conclusion of the (in the movie not existing) plot

Not that they just adapt it to make it a bit more holywood like, nope its exactly the opposite in the movie, have a look:
according to the book -> I am Legend = i'm the asshole
according to the movie -> I am Legend = i'm the super cool hero

Good Luck Chuck, naked women and Jessica alba couldn't make me stay.

The Love Guru, Mike Myers and Jessica Alba couldn't make me stay

The Rise of the Silver Surfer, Silver Surfer > Jessica Alba, so I stayed

I turned Wanted off after about 5 minutes. If it were intentionally dumb fun like Shoot 'Em Up, I may have been able to get into it. But Wanted seemed so self-important, so unaware of the numerous film cliches it trotted out just in the first 5.

I watched Funny Games all the way through because I thought the sociopathic bad guys were gonna get it in the end. I thought there'd be some cathartic dark side-flirting for the audience. Nope. Apparently, the director meant this as a sort of thesis. He wanted to see if he could convince the audience to leave the theater. It's pretty cool that that sets the film up to defy convention. However, it renders everything that the film does meaningless. Foreshadowing? Oh, did we do that? I'm sorry, please disregard that. The film also had some of the stock art-house pretentiousness that's so commonplace now.
