Miyazaki's "Nausicaa of Valley of the Wind"

Loved his other films, but that just sucked.

Flags of Our Fathers. I just found it to be so disjointed and dry I couldn't get through it. It probably would have helped if I had been American so I could at least feel patriotic, but I didn't even have that.
It is odd that I hated it so much, since Letters from Iwo Jima is one of my favorite movies of all time.

You'll love this, I have a list set aside for just this very question. There are only three movies that I couldn't finish watching based off of how stupid they were, and they are:

Freddy Got Fingered: I stopped watching that when it got to the part where Tom Green's character was whacking on the legs of the girl in the wheelchair with the bamboo stick.

Grandma's Boy: Couldn't stand watching it anymore when it got to the scene where the main character was masturbating in the bathroom to an action figure.

The Ringer: This is actually the only time I've left the theater because a movie is so bad. When it got to the part where Johnny Knoxville was being set up on the blind date with the mentally handicapped girl I just couldn't take it anymore.

Any Lord of the Rings movie: seriously? Bad acting, bad make-up, predictable plot, stupid/annoying characters, etc. Its only saving grace would be the beautiful background scenery, but I might as well watch a documentary then, the movie had CGI shit cluttering the view half of the time anyway.

.
LotR won an Acadamy Award for Best Make-Up. TWICE. And a nomination for Best Supporting Actor. And a triple Best Visual Effects.

I'm actually stunned at your post. Yes, dislike the movie by all means, it's not to everyone's taste. But it's got Oscars out the wazoo and I'd say every single one of your points is wrong (okay, annoying characters and predictability is somewhat subjective) but I honestly cannot see where you're coming from at all. There's one or two dodgy CG shots (Oliphaunt-Legolas and Gollum at the end) but the vast majority was done with models and looked absolutely gorgeous.

I'm also stunned at how quickly people give up on movies. 20 minutes into G.I. Joe? The rave scene in Matrix Reloaded? The film's have barely STARTED at that point, how can you judge it? I'll accept that they aren't particularly good movies (GI Joe being silly as hell) but you can at least just relax and enjoy the spectacle, they're very pretty films.

In theaters; Kill Bill 1 & 2, and Sin City. On DVD; Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and 10 Things I Hate About You. I was later forced to watch all the DVD ones, and I hated them even more after finishing them.

The Pacifier, Zoom, Robots, the Astronaut Farmer, Meet the Robinsons, pretty much anything Disney pulled out of its bloated ass.

Okay that's a bold statement. What do you have against Tarantino?

More importantly, if you couldn't finish Kill Bill Part 1, why the heck did you go and watch Part 2?

My friends and I have this weird habit of watching bad movies all the way through to the end just to see if they crescendo onto the level of so-bad-it's-hilarious, but we had to stop partway through The Happening. We just weren't being entertained in any sense of the word.

The Incredible Hulk was not so incredible. Happy I got my money back and spent it on Forbidden Kingdom. Oh no, wait, that was even worse, damn it!

ET and...

This is gonna get me shot, I know...

Lord of the Rings.
I know lots of people who can't sit through LOTR.

Personally I love it to bits, and once a year I'll watch all 3 extended editions back to back.

But I can definately see how some people would find it boring, especially the talky middle sections of the first and second ones.

I've never bailed on any movies, but I imagine I could never see anything made by Uwe Boll to the end. I don't know for certain though since I've never watched one because I'm afraid it'll make me kill myself.

Harry Potter 3 onwards, they have basically just cock slapped the books from there on saying "You are more of a... direction to head in, screw your already established plot points and rules."

Prisoner of Azkaban, they break the no magic rule in the first 10 seconds of the movie ffs aside from that I have no complaints.
Goblet of Fire, no Dobby and a few other sub plots that made the book enjoyable
Order of the Phoenix, just about passable until they added to the narrative what they took away from it, Umbridge blowing a huge fucking hole in the room of requirement WTF
Half Blood Prince, EVERTHING

One of the [insert word here] Movies - possibly Epic Movie? Dunno really, my sister used to work for a video store so she would rent pre-release dvds for free, and for some reason she brought that home to watch with us. I left the room in disgust a few minutes later. Terrible doesn't even begin to describe it.
