Well I didn't bring proof since it's an internet forum and I don't care that much. But I have read that he was very upset the way the Incredible Hulk turned out because he filmed more Banner stuff that didn't get into the film. I've also read that he is the sort of actor that likes to be involved in almost every big aspect of the film, making it difficult for him to be in a movie like this. Also, who cares about Banner? Hulk cool, Hulk important, not puny Banner.

Eh, the less we see of Banner the better.

That looked pretty awesome. Captain America's helmet still looks like a big blue condom though, How could they mess that up when it was fine in the first movie?

EDIT: Also they're excruciatingly vague on who the actual villian is in this, does anyone know what Robofish at the end is supposed to be?

EDIT 2: It could be the Midgard Serpent, which would tie into Loki being the villian http://marvel.wikia.com/Jormungand_%28Earth-616%29, although as far as I can tell the midgard serpent never resembled a Michael Bay Transformer.

I like Edward Norton as an actor, but personally I didn't really think he suited Banner, so I don't mind. By the looks of things there's no more godawful Liv Tyler so that's a plus.

My biggest worry is that this will basically become 'Iron Man & The Avengers'; As much as I like Iron Man (and RDJ playing him), I'd want it to feel more balanced, especially as he's already had double the films as the others. Besides, if anyone should be top dog it should be Cap'.

Seriously though, this could be a contender for the best superhero movie ever. April needs to hurry the fuck up.

Just one thing though; It's being called 'Avengers Assemble' in the UK, which sucks. I know it's probably something to do with copyright but still. It doesn't sound as good as just 'The Avengers'. It almost sounds like a sequel.

I don't have high hopes for this movie. Especially with Downey Jr involved, I think the whole thing will be a huge battle of egos, and end up being "The Adventures of Tony Stark and his superfriends". While he is not even the best character, all the footage I have seen has him giving all the lines and the rest mostly grunting.

I think he is a good actor, but I don't think he is a good team player.

That was my first thought too! The design may have been based on Adi Granov's artwork for Fing Fang Foom during his run on Iron Man. The two do sort of look similar. It's appearance does kinda work with a theory I have that the "invaders" are actually Rock Trolls from Thor's roster of villains.
