...finally confirms a certain New Yorker who was oddly absent in the original Avengers film.

I haven't been this excited to see a Marvel film since that original Avengers film. Also, Ant-Man is back!

Hype train, woo woo!

Was just about to make this thread.

I don't like this Spider-Man. He appears to be 100% CGI, and bad CGI at that. He just seems off. And I do not like that his entire 'eye' is expressive. It looks weird, and out of place.

Does anyone else feel like Spider-Man just looks really bad?

That being said, I like how he's voiced. He sounds like how I imagine Peter Parker sounds.

That isn't too much of a surprise, since this is the first of the three actors playing him who's actually the age he's supposed to be instead of a good decade older. Which works great because that means that his being young will allow future MCU instalments using him to have him age with the setting, assuming they use him beyond his standalone movie for the MCU since they're planning movies until 2028.

Oh...that...that...

Oh my.

That is unfortunate. That suit looks absolutely terrible. Like is that unfinished? Have they not rendered the 3D?!

For fucks sake, it looks like something the Onion or SNL or Colbert would do as a goof. This can't be real. This can't be what they think a good Spider Teen looks like!

Okay, what in the actual fuck was with the eyes!?
At first I thought it was a perspective trick, but it the suit actually narrowed it's own eyes. It's funny that after all the crazy shit, the flying robots, the shrinking guy, and the unbreakable shield, that made me go "that doesn't seem physically possible"

It looked okay for a comic book movie but totally out of place compared to how realistic everything else is

I'm going to assume (hope) that Spidy's CGI bits are still really early on in the editing department. This could have easily been a thrown-together bit of "just give me something, ANYTHING" footage to shut up the people who haven't stopped asking about Spidy since it came out that he would be in this movie. Personally, I'm kinda disappointed that it's not Iron-Spider but we'll probably see it in the movie at some point.

Wait, when is this movie launching again? I have this feeling that my optimism is misplaced...

Looks fun. I am excited to see what Black Panther can do.

And I like Bucky, he was such a good villain, and it looks like he will be putting in another good showing.

Maybe it is just me, but Spiderman seems strangely out of place, like he shouldn't be in the same universe. I know he is part of the comic though, but it just seems weird. Maybe it is because they are only now introducing him. Would have been perfect if they introduced him in Avengers 1.

Do you think Iron Man kills Cap? That would be crazy.

That was my "WTF?!" moment of the trailer. I'd like to know how the eyes of a mask that covers your entire head are supposed to be able to emote like that. It looks fine in fully animated cartoons, but in this it just looks creepy.

When Spider-Man spoke, did anyone else think, "Wait, Kevin from Game Grumps is Spider-Man?"

HIS EYES! Oh, dear god, HIS EYES! They're mechanical and I love them! Did he do it, or did Tony do it for him? And I love how Tony has a nickname for him! I hope this means they have some form of established relationship. I wonder if Spidey is going to switch sides like he did in the comic. His delivery feels a little monotonous, but I can't help but keep replaying that part and squealing! May can't come fast enough!

If Cap isn't killed. I could still see him giving up the Shield to Bucky. Bucky has like a 9 movie contract, where as Chris Evans has I think just the Infinity War left.

I thought this as well, a sentiment shared by many of my friends. However, if you look at some high res pics, it doesn't look too bad at all. It seems that YouTube has really butchered the quality on this one. Also, he is most definitely not 100% CGI. Here:

Its almost certain that Tony gave it to him. Also, even better, the eyes move because they are a lens! That just makes so sense. Speaking of...

Its not meant as a Deadpool-esque way to emote. As I said, its actually a lens. Thats why you can hear a little mechanical whirring when his eyes become smaller. And thats all it should be able to do, become bigger or smaller. Not sure how much emoting they could convey with that even if they wanted to.

EDIT: This new terms of conditions seems to have made me double post. Sorry about that.

But I may as well use this post to say that I actually like this new costume now. This video is primarily responsible for that:

The funny thing is that it worked with deadpool. My guess is that they were going for a comic book look. The suits a little too smooth and CG for my taste, but I wouldn't call it terrible. I actually liked his voice from the one sentence he got.

I thought he sounded like James Arnold Taylor. You know, the guy who voices Tidus. And I'm okay with that! Spider-Man is a nerd; if his voice didn't crack while stealing Cap's shield, I'd have been disappointed.

This trailer has me more hyped about this film than I hoped it would.
I hate getting hyped over things... they never live up to expectations if the hype is too big.
