This trailer made me really sad I'm behind on my Marvel. I need to see Age of Ultron so I have the full context for this, and I TOTALLY want to see this movie.

Kid spidey's voice is awesome, though.

I think you really do need to see Age of Ultron. A lot of people thought it was weak, assuming it was just a distraction from the ongoing story, but it looks like it is going to be extremely significant after all. It looks like the events of this movie (and the attitudes of Stark vs Cap) are directly informed about how AOU went down and differing opinions on what went wrong. Without spoiling anything, I think Tony is rightly calling them and himself in particular to task for their obvious failures around that (and other) incidents.

Captain, on the other hand, is unwilling to give up what power he has to anyone else because of his experiences in Cap 2. He sees himself and his friends as the best people to ultimately hold veto power over the world, so to speak. If shield went as bad as it did then who could he possibly trust?

If Cap isn't killed. I could still see him giving up the Shield to Bucky. Bucky has like a 9 movie contract, where as Chris Evans has I think just the Infinity War left.
I actually thought that Chris Evens was done with Cap 3. I could be wrong about that.

He has one more movie in his contract after Civil War. He was originally signed for 6 movies - Which works out to 3 Captain movies and 3 Avenger's movies. That means his current contract runs out after the next Avengers.

He's said he's open for getting an extension, but I doubt that will happen. I think the reason the third Captain America film is actually an Avengers film is because it's a story they wanted to do, but they didn't want to pay him for a seventh movie (Which would likely cost them a fortune, since he's in a much better bargaining position now).

Interesting, thanks for clearing that up.

Okay, what in the actual fuck was with the eyes!?
At first I thought it was a perspective trick, but it the suit actually narrowed it's own eyes. It's funny that after all the crazy shit, the flying robots, the shrinking guy, and the unbreakable shield, that made me go "that doesn't seem physically possible"
Yes, yes it is funny. It's always amusing to me, the incredibly small nitpicks that fans of fantastical things will draw the line in the sand about, but ignore other things. Hell I almost did it myself with Force Awakens, and the blast from Starkiller, and thought "Ok that atmosphere is totally boiled off, and all of those troopers are dead from heat/radiation exposure being that close, not to mention total lack of atmosphere" But then I said to myself "Meh, it's Star Wars, none of this shit makes actual sense, and the scene looks pretty damn cool. So fuck it." xD

OT: Eh, it's not the first time Spiderman has been CGI when he's doing physically impossible things in a movie. The Sam Raimi films did this a lot too, it was the final shot of a transition scene. I'm confident the next scene would likely be Spidey hopping down off the vehicle, and, oh look, now it's the actual human, since you know, we couldn't find someone to actually do that scene before, with all the acrobatics, and impossible physics.

I don't know, sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't lose their shit over less than optimal CGI in something.

So if that scene takes place in Germany, from what I heard, how does no one wonder where Peter is when he's Spider-Man?

I think the movie looks great if only because we finally get Black Panther on the big screen. It's also really great to see Spidey in the MCU. I agree that the suit looks a tad iffy but it may not be entirely finished (as in the CG) or it may be the lighting or possibly both. I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt for now.

I don't like this Spider-Man. He appears to be 100% CGI, and bad CGI at that. He just seems off. And I do not like that his entire 'eye' is expressive. It looks weird, and out of place.
He actually isn't CGI...Not in this shot anyway, it is actually Tom Holland in costume.

Here is James Gunn talking about it, he has seen the unedited version of the film http://geektyrant.com/news/james-gunn-says-tom-hollands-spider-man-is-the-best-spider-man-ever?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=facebook

If that isn't CGI, then this is even worse then I thought. Because they've somehow managed to make a real person look like a badly computer animated image.

I just went from 'eyebrow raised but otherwise whatever' to 'what the fuck, I'm concerned.'

Oh...that...that...

Oh my.

That is unfortunate. That suit looks absolutely terrible. Like is that unfinished? Have they not rendered the 3D?!

For fucks sake, it looks like something the Onion or SNL or Colbert would do as a goof. This can't be real. This can't be what they think a good Spider Teen looks like!
To bad because it isn't cgi in the above comment, it is actually Tom Holland in Costume (obviously not doing the flips) but at the end, yes that is him in a suit!

Or they just made a superhero like he just jumped out of a comic? Kind of like when we see Tony in his suit or Thor.

No. Tony looks like he's wearing real metal. Thor looks like he's wearing real oldie armor (Stylized as it is).

This Spider-Man looks like it was created by a computer and superimposed over a real shot.

It really doesn't look that bad, and considering Spidey apparently has 2 costumes in this film i wouldn't be surprised if this was the first.

Spidey looks fine, a nice homage to a time before the Raimi films. The suit just doesn't have much texture and is all one material, nothing to break it up apart from colour, considering how we have Spidey recently in live action form it's going to look off.

When Spider-Man spoke, did anyone else think, "Wait, Kevin from Game Grumps is Spider-Man?"
Literally my first thought.

We're not the only ones. [https://twitter.com/earth2kvn/status/708005268257247232]

OT: I quite liked the trailer. Including the Spidey suit. Looking forward to it, especially seeing more of Bucky.
