Now that the roster for MvC3 is "complete", what other characters would you have liked to see enter the fray? This can be anyone (or anything, in some cases) that can be justifiable as "Marvel" and/or "Capcom" properties, regardless of likelihood.

C'mon, Escapists! Let's see your obscure connections and "wouldn't that be awesome" ideas!

A few off the top of my head:
1) Mega Man. Seriously Capcom, wtf?

2) Mickey Mouse. Disney owns Marvel now, and Mickey has appeared in some stellar Capcom games in the past. Why not?
2b) Scrooge McDuck. Ducktales was an awesome game too. At the very least, to hear this song [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSykJIEiLuA] again.
2c) Aladdin. Yet another excellent Disney/Capcom game. He's a little more action-y, if that's what they're looking for.

3) Optimus Prime. Marvel actually has some claim to our beloved tractor-trailer Transformer, publishing the Transformers comics and at least one crossover with the Avengers.
3b) all the other useful transformers: Megatron, Starscream, Ironhide, Grimlock... the list goes on and most decidedly does NOT include Bumblebee.
3c) Bumblebee. *sigh* G1 version only, and only because they'd rather have a more human-sized transforming robot. Any other form/excuse for him and not Prime is unacceptable.

4) Strider Hiryu. He was in the other MvC games, why not here as well? What do they have against Ninjas anyway?

5) Frank West/Chuck Greene. I'm not buying the excuses for not including Frank, Capcom. At the very least you could have canned the zombie hordes, added some strange-looking weapons and turned him into Chuck.

6) Superman. Speaking of obscure crossovers, Marvel and DC universes collided once as well. Supes here is one of very few people who has wielded Cap's shield and Thor's hammer (at the same time, no less).
6b) the other Justice League primaries: Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and so on.

What else ya got?

Personally?

They got pretty much everyone I wanted.

They had my sale at Dante and Ammy.

I can think of more, but I'm 100% satisfied with what they have.

All I really could want is Frank West and "Battle Network" Megaman, and even then...I probably wouldn't use them.

They cut Dhalsim? THEY FUCKING CUT DHALSIM??!!? The new roster really looks like trash. Who the hell is MODOK? Mike Haggar from a game made in the 80's? All around I am disappoint.

T_T I want Venom back. But really wow only 38 characters (possibly 40 if they release another pair next week)? That's kind of disappointing. I was hoping that it would have as many as MvC2 did. But then again MvC2 had 58, so losing 18 really isn't so bad. Still, I wish they had kept some of the other oldies.

Also spazzattack: I feel your pain at a lack of Dhalsim and MODOK stands for Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing, he is a Marvel Villian.

I'm willing to bet money they're going to add character packs as DLC later with many of the characters you just mentioned.

Personally, I was hoping for a Street Fighter 3 representative. Alex, Hugo, Urien, and Necro would all work.

Also, no Megaman is a real surprise, especially given all the rumors and hints that he would be in from the very beginning. I hope they use Megaman.EXE when he inevitably gets added in, but X would be cool too. I get the feeling Arthur is supposed to be his replacement, which is all well and good, but its not the same without the Blue Bomber.

No Captain Commando is a little disappointing as well, but I bet their logic for leaving him out was tied to their logic for putting Bionic Commando in.

Some of the character choices are a little strange. MODOK is pretty much right out; I appreciate Marvel going for another Shuma-Gorath style deep cut, but honestly NOBODY likes MODOK, not even in the comics. If they wanted a more obscure villain, I would have gone with Mysterio. He matches up against Spider-Man, but isn't Venom or a Symbiote and would work well as a projectile character. Also, I really don't think Trish was necessary. 1 DMC representative is fine. I would have rather seen Bayonetta or Gene from Godhand in her place.

Strider and Frank West will likely make it in at some point, probably as DLC. More Street Fighters, as well (it still blows me away that we didn't get Bison, Gill, or Seth as a villain).

Other than that, just some random characters I'd like to see:

For Capcom: Dr. Wiley, Protoman, Dimitri, Samanouske (or Jubei), Jin, any Final Fight character
For Marvel: Cyclops, Venom, Moon Knight, Green Goblin, Dazzler, Nick Fury

Capcom has already said that there is going to be a lot more DLC content along the way

They replace CC with C. Viper. Look at their appearances and moves, they are essentially the same character. Also... Bayonetta isn't a Capcom character...and Frank West was going to be in it but they cut him out at the last minute (he was even a cameo in one of the earlier trailers)

I know Bayonetta isn't Capcom, but Hideki Kamiya directed her game (he also did Viewtiful Joe, Devil May Cry, Okami, and Resident Evil 2). I figured there might be a chance of her getting in based on that alone.

And I'd still rather have her than Trish >__>. Hell, I'd even take Nero over Trish (they could have given him Soki's moveset from Tatsu vs. Capcom).

As far as CC being replaced by Nathan Spencer, I didn't mean he was an exact one. More of a thematic one, both of them being old-school company mascots (well...Bionic Commando is, Nathan Spencer not so much).

But with what you said about C.Viper replacing CapCom...I'm just not seeing it. Maybe I've just played too much SFIV, but all I can see when I watch her gameplay videos is more of the same. They do have a similar looking flaming kick, but everything else looks different (thunder knuckle isn't a projectile like CapCom's flamethrower, C.Viper doesn't use any projectiles at all, in fact).
