read my post above yours.

Those weapons can be utilised but they're often very situational, and they don't really teach you how classes are standardly played.
And here's the point of my post. You say 'never use these, they won't teach you how the class is normally played.'

I'm saying 'learn when to use these items and understand their strengths and weaknesses, because you have no assurances that your enemy will play the class this way.' There's no better way to learn than to take a gun into the field for a few rounds and understand why it works when it works.

Complacency and 'standard play' mean death when some shameless weird-loadout madman like myself brings a surprise to the table and people weren't informed or prepared for what they're seeing. Besides, there are four prefabricated loadout tabs; if that isn't practically screaming at people to tailor their class's weapon slots for the situational issues at hand, I don't know what is.

@Fanta Grape I'm sorry but the majority of servers for TF2 are not 6v6 servers they are between 24 and 32 player servers and people play it to have FUN it is not a serious twitch shooter like quake.

So go and join a 32 player server with some Karaoke mods and just have FUN!

Now while this may have been a very good but long post you messed up a bit. Most of those weapons that you said not to use are actually amazing in some situations and rather than telling people not use them when they are game breaking makes you sound like a control freak. You obviously understand when they are useful and how higher level players use them so tell the new people where they are effective rather than never ever use ever.

I can use all the watches as a Spy relatively effectively but I started out using Cloak and Dagger which many think to be a noob watch so does that make me a shit Spy? Not when I get the sentry and kill the Heavy Medic pair what makes a shit Spy is if I choose to stay as a spy when everyone is Spy checking.

Wow. Get over yourself. Why should anyone only use the weapons YOU want to use? If you don't like how people play the game, Don'y play it, rather then posting your own version of the rules.
Why did you even think posting this would make a difference? Suddenly everyone will stop using weapons you don't like? Nope. Not happening.

Mmm, quite true. I'll just change up the original post a bit. By the way, would you be able to answer me why people think taking a game seriously mean you can't also have fun? It seems like the general consensus among the whole of the thread. The fellow below you told me "get over yourself," and so did the first reply. I really can't follow the logic. I'm so obsessed with myself that I ... try to push people in the right direction? It's really not an argument of what weapons I want them to use, it's more of a matter of what's generally best. Otherwise the enforcer and dead ringer would be there.

From the tone you have written the OP many people got the impression that you were a scrub who wants everyone to do it their way and not use the weapons they personally do not like and find unbecoming/ruin the game. Also people do not like it when people take public games as seriously as clan games and it can ruin the experience to a degree. What you need is a balance between competitiveness and the general spirit of the game but people have gotten the impression that you have too much of the former and not enough of the latter.

You need to be careful how you word things.

If people want to use a weapon because they like it more, why are you telling them to stop? If I want to use the brass beast on offense, then I am going to, and I am going to beat everyone. No amount of telling me what to use when is going to diminish what weapons I am going to use.

Highly Situational Weapons:

[...]
Natascha
Ever get stuck on a CTF match with a lone enemy Scout that can always sneak past your defences and cap? Yeah, Natascha's the near-perfect counter to that. It's also a pretty good offensive weapon, so long as you're not pushing in alone. The speed reduction on hit targets does help others hit the guy you've shot, so don't be afraid to push forward with Natascha if your team is in a stalemate situation.

And I never use my Axetinguisher anymore. Since I play Pyro defensively now, I've gone with the Homewrecker. Engineers just love me.

Personally, the only Stock weapon I use is the Medigun. All my other classes use unlocks/drops for all their equipment (Except Demoman. I just haven't got any good Demoman gear yet.)
