I once went on a 35 kill streak, with Predator-Harrier-Chopper Gunner. I got nokills with the Predator, so I madeit to the Harriers on my own. After that match,I realized if I had just replaced the Predator with Nuke, I could have done it. Needless to say,I was a little bummed out.

If you can get a 35 kill streak using ANY setup, you're more than good enough to get a nuke!

I've gotten a nuke in the first 2 minutes of a game of Ground War. I think that you know a game is broken when someone can end a game for 17 other people in less than 25% of the time the developers expect you to finish a game.

I did not camp, I rushed with a spas-12 and ump45.

No actually I was really lucky, there were 3 other Irish dudes in the lobby after the game and when I told them that was my first ever nuke they were all congratulatory

Yeah I gotta say man, it really sucks that you need 2 nukes to get the emblem. As I have said about IW many times: 'What the hell were they thinking?'

Sorry to tell you, you actually need 10 to get the emblem.

I got 30 kills, no deaths once on Team Deathmatch on overpass [that map will either love you or hate you]. UNfortunately, i didnt have nuke as a killstreak :/ Does the fact that i basically achieved getting more than 25 kills still count?

That's why I pick the Ac130, it's much harder to take down than the Chopper Gunner. My CG usually only gets 5 - 6 kills nowadays before it's downed, whereas an AC130 on an open map will get me 10-12.

Yeah I think the PS3 has more casual 'just for fun' players, XBL has more tryhards.

I imagine it's because on PS3 you don't have to pay for your accounts.

Damn. I should have kept killing but I was terrified that the host would quit or the game would lag out so I just used it straight away!

It's very hard to get a nuke unless you play like a complete and total asshole. (once again proving the games shittiness) I myself have only done it once, and that was by playing super aggressively with the M16 on demolition on Afghan.

Well, I wouldn't consider that being an asshole at all. The M16 isn't overpowered like it was in COD4 and if you'r ebeing aggressive then it makes it even harder to get it. That was just well played.

I've had 20ish nukes so far... the trick is really not thinking about it. If you think "Oh shit I've got 4 kills if i get 3 more i get a harrier and than 4 more a chopper and than 14 more a nuke!!!!" you're going to fail. Once you see the little "7 kills, harrier waiting for your mark" pop up THEN go run into a corner and let the kill streaks do the dirty work. If I had one piece of advice for doing well in this game (besides making a solid class) its play cautious but not cowardly. Be aggressive but not brash. Know where the enemy is before they know where you are, and 90% of the times you will win the eventual encounter. Most of all HAVE FUN. I hear all too often about people rage quitting in this game... why? Its what you make of it, if you make it a casual online shooter than it is! Try to win and excel and nuke and all that good stuff, but don't beat yourself up if you don't.

Maybe you guys are more concerned about your K/D's. I am more concerned about my K/D for the match rather than over all.

Damn. I should have kept killing but I was terrified that the host would quit or the game would lag out so I just used it straight away!

I never thought of that, timing out of a host migration I mean ... man, I would have been pissed if I got the nuke and it timed out on me. I really did get lucky!

Back when I had MW2, I used the silenced TAR-21 with Scavenger, SP, and Ninja if I was going for a nuke. Half-run n gun, half holding down a position. I was really careful to be aware of the spawns, you want to contain them, not invade. That was really hard for me, as that's what i like to do. Makes things more interesting
My killstreaks were UAV, CG, nuke, because I liked not earning ~half my kills if at all possible. It didn't hurt hat I had a friend watching my back, either.

Thats an odd choice for kill streaks, 11 straight gun kills. Even pred, CG and nuke would a little easier.

This is true, but it kind of ties in to the MW2 experience for me back when. Basically, if I had the 7/11/25, once i got to harriers, things would get tense as I hoped my harrier and I could get to the CG, and upon finally getting it I would scramble to a spot to lie down and hope for the best.

With 3/11/25, I can help out the team when I'm not doing amazingly, and I can play in a less tense way until I get to CG and it's like "oh hey, look at that!" Let's go for it then! " instead of "okay, got the harrier, but it's never guaranteed and I hope I can get to CG, but by then they'll probably have their stinger classes ready <:O"

In short, it was a more fun way to potentially get to a nuke. More effective too if you're playing well enough to get to a harrier anyway, as the CG kind of catches them off-guard without any indicative lower killstreaks. Just make sure to have a team that won't get the spawns all crazy and get people spawning behind you.
