I'll put this down in the 'pro' column for Skyrim. Now to wait for reports on engine stability and general bugginess...

Mine has extremely distorted audio, and crashed this morning when I tried to steal a carrot.

Is that good enough for you?

It's certainly indicative of Bethesda sticking to its MO of releasing shoddily programmed entertainment software.

It also makes me giggle.

if you can set your sound cards output to 44.1 kHz

its been posted as a fix for sound related weirdness including near inaudible audio.

Oh, thanks. That seems to have fixed it.

Now I have a different problem - an NPC is saying 'There's something you can do for me' but still refusing to give me the next stage of the main quest... Changing the sound settings doesn't seem to help. Silly Bethesda...
