So, yeah, I was recently reminded of a few great shows from my childhood... that I had completely forgotten about.

Lots of people remember stuff like Batman and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but what about those nostalgic shows that NO ONE remembers?

This topic is about scraping the bottom of the nostalgia barrel for the hidden gems that have faded into the mysts of time.

Okay, this first one is SUPER nostalgic for me, I watched this show like every day. Not sure how I ever forgot it:

For this one, I didn't watch the show that often, but I had one of the action figures, for some reason. If you've never seen it, it's basically if Troll dolls were the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Seriously:

And last, but not least, is one of those classic live-action shows from early Nickelodeon:

None of those TMNT rip offs like Extreme Dinosaurs? I liked how it had an evil Captain Planet as the character who incited the series.

This isn't a TV show, but man I played Team Buddies for the PS1 so much as a kid. It's a shame I lost it, things worth around 150$. Also, most people I know have never heard of it, so I figured it was obscure enough for this thread.

Maybe there are more people that have seen it than I know, but when I was a kid, we watched the vhs first episode of street sharks FOUR HUNDRED TIMES, and none of our friends knew of it. I still watch that first episode. I still love it. I recently came across some episodes that were not the first episode and was surprised they turned it into a much less serious... well, cartoon. I mean, the first episode was so serious.

Whatever, I still want to get back into it. If I knew how, I'd try to see the whole series even if it gets really cartoony... actually, yeah, I will look and see if they have a dvd set.

Anyway, here's part one of episode one. I love this, I mean, its just a tad dark, something kids these days need more of. I mean, in the first episode all of the characters are assumably killed and left for dead in a river. I don't know, I think every kid should see this first episode. ... thats just me personally though, and maybe there is a slight hint of nostalgia speaking if you didn't catch the fact that I like it so much.

Edit: rewatching it, yes, it has aged a bit. A little cheesy and all, but still. Nostalgia will hold this as gold.

Eureka's Castle, man that brings me back to my early childhood. Here's a couple more from the period which nobody seems to remember.

and last but not least,

There's also one that I remember watching as a kid, but can't place. The only thing that really sticks out to me is that the main bad guy had two henchmen that were ogres or something like that, and one of them was always having to vacuum stuff up by breathing in through a hose. I'm tempted to say it's the original My Little Pony, but that doesn't sound quite right. If anyone is capable of remembering for me, I will be eternally grateful.

The Mighty Ducks animated series.
Now that was awesome! I had action figures of the characters, and my favorite one was the one that died right off the bat. Or wait... its been so long. Was he really dead or did he just come back every once in a while?

Dug this up a few days ago:
I remember loving it, but I can't for the life of me remember what it's actually about. It wasn't on the air for very long, to the best of my recollection.

This show, man.
Loved this show, but it always made me feel kind of lame for not doing anything cool with my weekend. These guys would hit the beach, shoot some billiards, grab some pizza, see movies... Me and my friends pretty much just hung out around the house and played video games. It was fun, in its way, but compared with what they did on The Weekenders, it always felt like kind of a waste.

The only show I'm remotely nostalgic over is Arthur.

But then again it doesn't really qualify as nostalgia because I turned the tv on the other morning to discover it still existed. And was still good.

I have no fond memories of any other childrens tv shows.

edit: As an identifiable characteristic, the show is about an Aardvark named Arthur, his family, friends and sometimes his dog, Pal.

Fuckin' A.

Now THAT... is my childhood slapping me in the face and saying, 'you bastard, how could you have forgoten me?'

I don't think I've seen much of it at all, but once I started seeing that opening... I started to recognize it a bit. You've made my night man, that as awesome! Thanks for posting it!

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about, that's Grade A nostalgia right there.

Wish I could help you out with that other one, but it's not ringing any bells.

But here's another good one:
