Mine: you're a genetically engineered warrior fighting in a series of increasingly disjointed missions on one or the other side of a war fought in order to decide whether to invade Earth. Probably the most memorable of these missions involves hightailing it through a half-destroyed town in order to sabotage a cold fusion reactor and escape with your life.
*Phew* Also the music is the best thing ever and of all time.

For PSone fans, three obscure references from three obscure games:

Game 1) In this game, you should fear Moais and definitely not mess with the Dinosaur.

Game 2) A fighting game which features a gigantic sub-boss and a shorty last boss.

Game 3) "Whoop Ass Time!" ... "Whoop Ass Completed!" (quotes from the main character)
