Terraria, for the uninitiated, is a single-player / multiplayer PC game that was also recently released for PS3 and XBox 360. It's a 2D sandbox game with crafting, progression, etc., in a similar vein to Minecraft but with more of a 2D Super Nintendo feel. It also inspired games such as Edge of Space and the upcoming Starbound. Here's a video for the current 1.1.2 release. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Azq5IOrFtEI]
After a long hiatus, creator Redigit came back to the game late last year and has been working for several months on an update to the original PC version. Sunday, he released the trailer for v1.2, due out on Oct. 1st.

As a Terraria fan, all I can say is: Sweet Baby Jesus. It makes the previous version look like hobo clothes. If I weren't holding down a job and in the middle of a semester, I'd be living on my PC after October 1st.
There's more talk on the Terraria forums [http://www.terrariaonline.com/threads/official-terraria-1-2-gameplay-trailer.105392/]; for the initiated, the list of updates can also be found on the site wiki [http://terraria.gamepedia.com/Upcoming_features].
If you haven't tried this game, it's only $9.99 US (regular price) on Steam [http://store.steampowered.com/app/105600], and worth every penny IMPO.
Edit: fixed mismatched links.
