This is not a promising start for The Old republic. People with early access have been reporting that the game still suffering from a number of bugs, and others are reporting that there are some <a href=http://www.1up.com/news/the-old-republic-long-server-queues>insanely long load server queues to suffer through. Hopefully BioWare is able to resolve this latest issue soon.
Wasn't the whole plan to gradually roll out the launch specifically to avoid the queue issue? Best of intentions, I guess...
Them rolling out the launching didn't stop people from flocking to the most populated servers. For the most part long server waits are their own fault.
Which is why I choose a server with a "dumb name". I figured people wouldn't flock to it, but it would eventually get a pretty good population. I was also able to play from Day one, the 13th, and have yet to encounter a que at all. I've heard of others that did, but no more than a few minutes.
As for bugs, they are minor. The biggest bug I found was on a quest, I couldn't click on a console to complete it. Neither could another party member. We both logged out and back in and the problem was fixed. And I had found similar problems in WoW. And that was recent. Yes, WoW, the "most perfect and first MMO ever", would have the same exact bug 10 years into it's release. Other than that, I find I can't always collect some resources, but it's a minor issue and probably related to the console issue. Yeah, that's it. I've been playing for 7 days, have 3 characters, one at 22, and those are the biggest bugs I've seen.
Now, the question is, do I play TOR for a lil while (we're given two days for a grace period) or go pick up my copy of the game? Decisions.
