As the crowd began to disappear Marcus relaxed a little. Most of them looked remorseful about their actions, but a few people were giving him, Enapay, the girl and Roar an angry look. Marcus knew what they were thinking; they felt as though they had been betrayed. Marcus was about to pull his hood over his face, but decided against it, knowing that the crowd had a good enough glimpse of him and a few people probably knew exactly who he was.
"This won't help your popularity." said one of the voices in his head.
"You won't get invited to any parties." said another.
"There are parties?"
"Oh, you've never been to one?"
Marcus ignored the discussion and turned to ask the girl what her name was. If they were all going to be shunned by the Omega community, he might as well find out who he was being shunned with. He opened his mouth to ask when he interrupted by an explosion.
"Damn!" he said as he shielded his face with his arm.
"What the hell was that?!" he heard the girl ask as the explosion cleared and left a gaping hole in a building close to them.
"I think someone had a point to make." Marcus answered. He came to a chilling realization. "There might be people in there..." He said. Part of Marcus wanted to run in to see if that was true, but he was lucky enough to avoid any trouble with the mob and didn't want to push his luck. He looked at the rest of his group to see what they would do.
